Values

Getting my mobile after nearly one year, lost on 6th November 07, and got back on 31st October 08, after a span of nearly one year, was indeed a remarkable incident. And both happened, in the midst of my examination!

Well friends, here is a piece of information, please note the IP # of your mobile, and if you happen to loose your mobile, do not forget to launch the complaint with the police. They will get it searched from the cyber cell. The need is that the recipient should have started using the lost/stolen mobile.

Trust Lost on friend, proved to be genuine, and the person, a teacher….who has to teach the students, values, stealing a mobile, reveal the values practiced by today’s generation. She is a teacher, from a school in Kakkanad.

We have the ‘ashtadharmas’ taught in school, namely ahimsa, dharma, jnanam, satyam, sevanam, shanti, thyagam, and vinayam.

Practice of the same begins from within, as character is what we are in darkness. What is the use of preaching something and practicing something else? What is the use of serving the society, if one cannot serve the family?

Also the recent performance appraisals, also have brought to light that, just as birds of a feather are flocked together, knowingly or unknowingly people cherishing similar values, tend to be more friendly, to each other….It differs from people to people. For some it is respect, and for others it could be sincerity, honesty, punctuality, tolerance, Dignity….and so many…apart from the Ashthadarmas.

It is seen that, any person who can stick to a ‘maximum’ (It could be even lesser, say three ) of five values, irrespective of the situation is assured of achieving success in life…Values could be anything.

And this history as proved. Mahatma Gandhij, is related, to Truth and Ahimsa. Nehru, for his love for children……

The Inner beauty by Brahma Kumari was a book worth reading on this subject and, the advertisement on TATA mobile has left a mark Suno Dil khee Awaz, Dunya khi math suno, with people like Abdul Kalam, Karan Johar…..

"...I had a mixture of relations and experiences. Some of the relations were wonderful, and some of the experiences were awful, but the awful teachers served a good purpose by being a bad example. All examples are good" – something related said by Larry Ellison

To quote Swami Vivekananda, “let the world say whatever they want, stick to your convictions and the rest is assured, the world would be at your feat"

Mission announces exactly where you are going, and the values describe the behaviors that will get you there...One of the major reason for big shots like Arthur Andersen and Enron,to collapsed in flames, is the vision-mission melt down.
