We never wanted to see Covid 19,
Wish I could get rid of it,
2020 has taught us how a bridge is build,
Through courage helping cross the unknown,
To value friends like family,
And get together on computer
I salute you all,
Diverse and connected soul,
Hugs will ignite,
You know what I mean,
Here is a memory you will save,
One day this will stop,
Lovely people!
Happiness Always!
This year, the poem that was always in my mind was one of my father's favorite:
Ode on Solitude
BY ALEXANDER POPE
Happy the man, whose wish and care
A few paternal acres bound,
Content to breathe his native air,
In his own ground.
Whose herds with milk, whose fields with bread,
Whose flocks supply him with attire,
Whose trees in summer yield him shade,
In winter fire.
Blest, who can unconcernedly find
Hours, days, and years slide soft away,
In health of body, peace of mind,
Quiet by day,
Sound sleep by night; study and ease,
Together mixed; sweet recreation;
And innocence, which most does please,
With meditation.
