How to Lead a Maximising Life - Apurva Purohit

We go through so many twists and turns in our lives: through careers, relationships, health and what not. So many of these seemingly insignificant moments actually end up changing our lives forever, and we don’t even realise it! How do we go through life then, and how do we try and identify these moments? Watch Apurva Purohit’s talk, in which she answers these questions and gives us her take on how to lead a maximizing life.

1) Positive Attitude - Life don't give practise match, but gives a mental rehersal. We win or loose in our minds first. If you go with a positive attitude, with the best possible version of yourself.

2) Personal Accountability - Acceptance of responsibility is taking the onus of mistake upto oneself. It is the first sign of adulthood.

3) Presume spotlight is on you - If you really want to get the best of every movement, always imagine you are under the spot light, and give your best.

Always be the best version of yourself, your own judgment, not by what other's say. To each one of us is given the choice to gauge our success; give your best performance against that.

Apurva Purohit is one of India’s most powerful women in media and business. She is the President of Jagran Prakashan, one of India’s largest media houses that has a presence across print, radio, digital, and outdoor. A staunch supporter of gender diversity in the workplace, she has authored books on the subject. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.  You can listen to this here:

One of the interesting  learning  is we grow when we first change the way we say from 'The ball is lost', to 'I lost the ball's.
