Sukhee - Movie

"Sukhee" -  Shilpa Shetty in a movie after a long time. A humorous slice-of-life tale about 38-year-old Punjabi housewife Sukhpreet "Sukhee" Kalra,  who marries her boyfriend without her parents' consent. So her parents,. Especially father don't wanna talk to her. And they move to another city. After many years she gets an invitation to a reunion party of her classmates in the Delhi, 1997 batch.

As the poster revels, this is the midlife musings of a middle class house wife who was ambitious and wanted to be bedhadak, besharam and beparwah.

Her husband doesn't allow her to go, his grandfather get her a ticket,  but he breaths his last before the D'day. She goes to attend that party inspite of husband's rejection, meets her classmates and has a lot of fun. Meanwhile her father who was angry with her for many years, becomes soft and unites with his daughter.

Also a classmate proposes to her, but she comes back to her daughter and husband.

Sukhee relives her teenage years while experiencing a variety of things over the course of just seven days, emerging reignited, reborn, and making the hardest shift of her life—from being a wife and mother to being a woman once more.

Value of a close relationship is ignored most of the time when the person is with you. Try to value small things related to your dear ones. Everyone has to find their own way of living life instead of waiting for the other one to realize your value. Never break any relationship in confusion. Maintain distance if it hurts you. Always try to maintain relationship with your dear ones even over phone or social media.

A women is an all rounder compared to men. She needs the support of her partner to flourish and Excell. This point is well explained in the movie.

From the relatable saga of dealing with nosy neighbors to the profound moments of childbirth and the dynamics with a spouse, the movie encapsulates the essence of married life. It eloquently portrays the complexities of maintaining relationships, rekindling friendships, coping with parental loss, and even the exhilarating yet tumultuous journey of falling in love once more.

It doesn't lay blame on a single factor for the challenges faced in the marriage. Instead, it beautifully illustrates the transformative power of understanding the worth of a partner, realigning priorities, and embracing a fresh start surrounded by the warmth of close family members.

The film also features a talented supporting cast, including Amit Sadh, Kusha Kapila, Dilnaz Irani, and Pavleen Gujral, who add to the charm and fun of the story. The film is directed by Sonal Joshi in her directorial debut. Costumes are amazing.
