Mother-Today is her day…

Birthdays are like fresh bloom flowers, that promise us of joyful hours, amidst lives garden glowing insight, of Gods loving crystal light…Another time, to halt at and think over…. As a child one of the often recited quote by me, my sis and cousin, was ‘There is only one perfect child and every mother has it’ This is simply the law of nature…Just as it is said…. The things that we desire in life are expensive, but the truth is that the things that really satisfy us are absolutely free…. Love, joy, laughter and friends…. Mothers are simply crazy people…It is difficult to phantom their thought… Normally for many- birthday is a time for celebrations…Last month celebrated fathers Shastipurthi…. with so many people around…. and today there is nobody at home, and no Gas to prepare food…

And just before today, i.e yesterday, when ammas younger sister, Girija chitta celebrated her birthday with Raghee, ‘Ramanilayam’ the first house I was into since my birth, the dream of my grandparents, a part of their life time achievement….the house in which we had spend better part of our childhood holidays, plucking mangoes, eating jackfruits, running around squirrel, breaking cashewnuts, swinging, falling into motorshed of the well, and getting beating from Mutachen for that was finally sold out……How good it would have been if one of us would have taken it…..But………..

Achan even this Sunday kept telling….people till few years back had time for everything, especially because there was no current, TV and Computers….Without gas they could cook food for so many people….but now time has changed……Everything is at the figure tip of man but he has no time for anything, Mobile in his hand, no time to enquire about his near and dear ones….A poor life this, full of care, no time to stand and stare…as was put by Wordsworth-I guess- in his Poem, Leisure…..Today they felt happy and surprised, because I called them up early, before 6 am….They kept guessing how this girl with sleeping mania, who could not write her exam because she was late in getting up, woke up this early……

Thanks to 'both of you' for helping me wake up early since past few days….

"All Is Not Lost!"

A 10-year-old boy decided to study judo despite the fact that he had lost his left arm in a devastating car accident. The boy began lessons with an old Japanese judo master. The boy was doing well, so he couldn't understand why, after three months of training the master had taught him only one move. "Sensei," the boy finally said, "Shouldn't I be learning more moves?" "This is the only move you know, but this is the only move you'll ever need to know," the sensei replied. Not quite understanding, but believing in his teacher, the boy kept training.

Several months later, the sensei took the boy to his first tournament. Surprising himself, the boy easily won his first two matches. The third match proved to be more difficult, but after some time, his opponent became impatient and charged; the boy deftly used his one move to win the match. Still amazed by his success, the boy was now in the finals. This time, his opponent was bigger, stronger, and more experienced. For a while, the boy appeared to be overmatched. Concerned that the boy might get hurt, the referee called a time-out. He was about to stop the match when the sensei intervened.

"No," the sensei insisted, "Let him continue." Soon after the match resumed, his opponent made a critical mistake: he dropped his guard. Instantly, the boy used his move to pin him. The boy had won the match and the tournament.

He was the champion. On the way home, the boy and sensei reviewed every move in each and every match. Then the boy summoned the courage to ask what was really on his mind. "Sensei, how did I win the tournament with only one move?" "You won for two reasons," the sensei answered. "First, you've almost mastered one of the most difficult throws in all of judo. And second, the only known defense for that move is for your opponent to grab your left arm." The boy's biggest weakness had become his biggest strength.

Thought for the day: "Sometimes we feel that we have certain weaknesses and we blame god, the circumstances and our self for it but we never know that our weakness can become our strength one day. Each of us is special and important, so never think you have any weakness, never think of pride or pain, just live your life to its fullest and extract the best out of it!"

A Picture of Peace

There once was a King who offered a prize to the artist who would paint the best picture of peace. Many artists tried. The King looked at all the pictures, but there were only two he really liked and he had to choose between them.
One picture was of a calm lake. The lake was a perfect mirror, for peaceful towering mountains were all around it. Overhead was a blue sky with fluffy white clouds. All who saw this picture thought that it was a perfect picture of peace.
The other picture had mountains, too. But these were rugged and bare. Above was an angry sky from which rain fell and in which lightening played. Down the side of the mountain tumbled a foaming waterfall. This did not look peaceful at all. But when the King looked, he saw behind the waterfall a tiny bush growing in a crack in the rock. In the bush a mother bird had built her nest. There, in the midst of the rush of angry water, sat the mother bird on her nest... perfect peace.
Which picture do you think won the prize?
The King chose the second picture. Do you know why? "Because,"

Thought for the day: explained the King, "peace does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work. Peace means to be in the midst of all those things and still be calm in your heart. That is the real meaning of peace."

Thought Is that Matters........

An old man lived alone in village. He wanted to spade his potato garden, butit was very hard work. His only son, who would have helped him, was inprison. The old man wrote a letter to his son and mentioned his situation: Dear Son,I am feeling pretty bad because it looks like I won't be able to plant my potato garden this year. I hate to miss doing the garden, because yourmother always loved planting time. I'm just getting too old to be digging up a garden plot. If you were here, all my troubles would be over. I know you would dig the plot for me, if you weren't in prison.Love,Dad.

Shortly, the old man received this telegram:
"For Heaven's sake, Dad, don't dig up the garden!! That's where I buried the GUNS!!" At 4 a.m. the next morning, a dozen intelligence agents and local policeofficers showed up and dug up the entire garden without finding any guns.Confused, the old man wrote another note to his son telling him what happened, and asked him what to do next.
His son's reply was:
"Go ahead and plant your potatoes, Dad..It's the best I could do for you from here."

Thought for the day:NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE IN THE WORLD, IF YOU HAVE DECIDED TO DO SOMETHING DEEP FROM YOUR HEART YOU CAN DO IT. IT IS THE THOUGHT THAT MATTERS NOT WHERE YOU ARE OR WHERE THE PERSON IS.

Welcome!!!!

Quite some time, created this, but did not know how to go about, or what to write first. Wanted to do something good, as they say, first impression is the best impression…

My Sis told me not to think much, and just put what is in mind, to be natural…

Now there are voices all around me, and I here them say: What are your plans for the new year………One more year has sped by,Now, we need to face another year……Or what are your new year resolution??

There may be risks involved, We may need to face roadblocks,
So staying alert, Sharing time with family, friends, and relatives….
Jumping over obstacles, With care And caution
Facing challenges, Remembering to laugh, Cooperating, Discovering…Making new friends, Above all...being ready for adventure, Sticking together, And planning to go far,Very far....
Making time for things….Not forgetting to relax and enjoy, trying to love all………. Knowing that all are in the hands of our creator….Unknown to all……..except ‘God’ As he is commonly known as……

HUMAN BEINGS ARE SUCH SMALL CREATURES, AREN'T THEY? SO WHY SHOULD WE BE TOO WORRIED ABOUT EVERYTHING, WHEN WE KNOW NOTHING IS IN OUR HAND, ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN IN THE NEXT SECOND.........SO TREASURE EVERY MOMENT, DO WHAT YOU WISH TO DO....BROADEN YOUR VIEW, BROADEN YOUR MIND, DON'T WORRY TOO MUCH ABOUT THINGS THAT ARE BOTHERING YOU,DO TREASURE YOUR LOVED ONES, LIVE SAFELY AND PEACEFULLY,ALWAYS BE HAPPY TO WELCOME THE COMING OF THE NEW DAY....... ENJOY, THE SUNSHINE ... ALWAYS LOOK AT THE BRIGHTER SIDE OF THINGS.....

If I wish you, that may, all your goals, dreams and desires come true, it would be difficult for God….Moreover as they say…If wishes were horses, beggars would ride……….Any way, hoping, wishing and praying that may the good God above shower the choicest of his blessings on all of us!! Today and Always!!!

I feel like it was just yesterday, we celebrated New Year 1992, then soon, its 97, then 2005, and 2006…So what is new??? Whatever has happened before, is happening again, and will continue to happen…Is’nt it…We amidst our busy schedule….just making an excuse to keep ourselves from the daily schedule….and do something different……..And then get back to the normal daily course….

Good days give us happiness, bad days give us experience, both essential to life, all are Gods blessings.....

Thought for the day: Live each day to the fullest, and make every another day, better than the previous day……Achan always tells….Time and tide waits for no man…….Kya pata…..Kal ho na ho…….
