Salt & Pepper has a delicious recipe to offer…

Again the review from Vinay:

S&P is a refreshing movie and a perfect recipe for a weekend matinee! The movie is a rare breed as the central character is no one but "FOOD". Yes, that’s right! And all actors revolve round the 'main character’ very interestingly.

The writer has cleverly used a different dimension of FOOD as not just as a medium of sustaining lives but one that changes lives. How it happens forms the crux of the plot and with some hilarious moments offers a very interesting watch.

On the acting front, Lal fits in perfectly into the character aptly supported by Swetha Menon. Although they do not come together in any shot (barring the climax), they develop an interesting Chemistry thru' their rather unusual conversations. Asif Ali also lives up to the character with his good sense of comic timing. Rest of the star cast is also good but among all it is Baburaj who steals the show with his impeccable comic timing and dialogue delivery. This character has the potential to change his acting career forever.

For a perfect dish it is important that all ingredients are mixed in right quantities at the right time, and that is exactly how other technicians have contributed. Music by Bijulal is good especially the opening song. Cinematography, art direction and BGM are top class.

It is heartening to see, lately Malayalam film has started experimenting successfully with unique themes. Be it daring "Cocktail" or the thrilling "Traffic" or be it an honest attempt like "Adminte Makan Abu", it seems the good times are back and hopefully this trend lives on.

Kudos to the makers, for coming out with a unique subject and giving it a fresh treatment.

What are you waiting for? The feast is ready... Go for it!!

We all friends (room mates) with Surajith, watched it on the Friend ship day and liked it...The Love story of Salt & Pepper and the way it is entangled!
