July st-Doctors Day! Chartered Accountants Day!!

One of the professions held in high esteem. The scope and future is as bright as any other skilled professions …..

Having spend major part of my professional career with Chartered Accountats,

Got into this profession & the foundation, in 1994, first inspiration from Sundherashwaran uncle (Raghavan Chittapans brother). 31st July 1995 (To the best of my knowledge and belief) , had joined George and Paulson Chalakudy. That was a day, moving around, not know the difference between a Sales Tax Practitioner, and a Chartered Accountant. It was Potta Mukundan Ammavan, who got me to that place. And definitely, the PUSH was from Amma.

At the time of leaving G & P, there was an interview session, from my colleagues there, then, which was as below.

Your views on CA course: Due to increase and vast expansion in commerce, business, industry and economic affairs, the scope for this profession too is expanding. There is always a need for proper accounting, and then a CA’s role is not limited to the area of accounting….The KKPP formula may rarely work here, but one should be fully determined to pass at first attempt, fully concentrating in it, never put of till tomorrow what you can do today. Appear each exam as though it is your last chance. If you want to be a CA think, act like a CA. It is Smart work, and not mere hard work that is needed. If you keep studying to acquire detailed knowledge, it would be difficult to pass…As it happened to me. Do not waste your time, you can go into details, even after passing. The first and foremost thing needed is to pass the exam, as ur here for it. In ur preprimary class you did not learn, nursery rhymes knowing the meaning. Devote full time of yours to this profession. I am sure if you devote your full time of yours to this you can pass within three years, both inter and final. Dedication & Concentration is must, Just like you put something on the horses face, so that its concentration is not diverted, do something with urself too..As u need self control here, unlike othercourses, therewould be no one to control u. It is easy to get into this, but difficult to get out. And once you get through your exams successfully, there is a charisma, additional value, in the society.

Your advise to Juniors: Without myself passing CA, I think I have got no right to advise others. But as it is something, which can be given without effort, can say this much: never let go of loyalty and faithfulness, tie them round your neck, and write them on your heart. Get wisdom, and insight. Do not abandon wisdom and she will protect you. Your education is your lifeguard well. Be careful how you think, your life is shaped by your thoughts. Never say anything that isn’t true. Don’t be ashamed to say ‘I do not know’ If you want to be a CA, think act, and be like a CA. And remember: Those who want to do everything can do nothing. To achieve something’s, you need to give up some other things. And at every walk of your life: Love selflessly, forgive willingly, share generously, serve whole-heartedly, and be responsible and accountable.

Happiest Moment: The day I joined, felt that within three years, I would be a CA, most of the days spend here, each time I met new friends/colleagues, the day I passed my degree, which was incredible, and am Thankful to God for the same. Even the last day, for having had the opportunity. But definitely the happiest day would be the day when your goal is achieved. And that has not happened.

Do you belive that failure is the stepping-stone to success: Yes, indeed. Those who fail, they with added determination and will , try to achieve success. The success may not be in the same field. But at times through failures, people realize that they are not fit to be in that field, and hence bloom in other fields of life. It is adversity that takes you to God, and sorrows, and failures help you realize the ture beauty, and taste of happiness and success in life. My sister keep telling me Sais quote: Desire what you deserve, desire is the root cause of all sorrows. Success is felt sweet, not by those who always succeed, and it is not final. With it comes added responsibilities. And to keep it is difficult.

And still a budding CA hope will bloom one day….. And will be a part of this celebration.

Motto: ‘ YA ESA SUPTESU JAGARTI, KAMAM PURSO NIRMIMANAH /
TADEVA SUKRAM TAD BRAHMA TADEVAMRTAMUCYATE /
TASMILOKAH SRITAH SARVE TADU NATYETI KASCAN/ ETAD VAI TAT/

That person who is awake in those that sleep, shaping desire after desire, that indeed, is the pure. That is Brahaman, that indeed is the immortal. In it all the worlds rest, and no one ever goes beyond it. This, verily, is that kamam kamam: Desire after desire, really objects of desire. Even dream objects like objects of walking consciousness are due to the supreme person. Even dream consciousness is a proof of the existence of the self.

No one ever goes beyond it. Of Echkart: ‘On reaching God all progress ends’
