Happy Guru Poornima!

This auspicious day holds a special place in our spiritual calendar as it celebrates the revered relationship between a Guru (teacher) and Shishya (student).

(Beautiful paining by Anu)

Guru Purnima is the day when we acknowledge the immense contribution of our Gurus, the torchbearers of knowledge and wisdom, who dispel the darkness of ignorance and enlighten our minds and hearts. In the realm of Vedic astrology, our understanding of this profound science is shaped, honed, and deepened by the invaluable teachings of our Gurus.

On this sacred day, I encourage each one of you to express your gratitude towards your teachers and mentors. Their selfless dedication and teachings have not only enriched your understanding of Vedic Astrology but also guided you towards a path of self-awareness, empathy, and enlightenment.

Remember there is no Jupiter (Guru) without Mercury (Shyshya) and they both go hand & Hand hence its a"Guru Shyshya Yoga".

To enhance the spiritual significance of Guru Purnima, I suggest you engage in the recitation of the following mantras, which will help you connect deeply with the Guru principle and seek blessings for your spiritual growth.

Guru Mantra:

"Gurur Brahma, Gurur Vishnu, Gurur Devo Maheshwara. Guru Sakshat Param Brahma, Tasmai Shri Gurave Namah."

This mantra signifies that the Guru is the creator, preserver, and destroyer, representing the trinity of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. The Guru is considered the supreme reality, and we offer our salutations to such a Guru.

Vyasa Mantra:

"Vyasaya Vishnu Roopaya, Vyasa Roopaya Vishnave, Namo Vai Brahma Nidhaye, Vasishtaya Namo Namaha."

This mantra is dedicated to Sage Vyasa, the author of the great Indian epics, who is revered as the original Guru. This mantra pays tribute to his vast knowledge and wisdom.

Simple Mantra:

"Aum Gurave Namah"

Above mantra is simple and easy to do by everyone.

Sadashiva Samarambham Shankaracharya Madhyamam

Asmad Acharya Paryantam Vande Guru Paramparam.

Ishwaro Gururatmeti Murti Bheda Vibhagine,

Vyomavad Vyapta Dehaya Dakshinamurataye Namah.

Sarva Vedanta Siddhanta Gocaram Tam Agocaram

Govindam Paramanandam Sadgurum Pranato’ smyaham.

Om Sri Krishna Govinda Narayana.

========≈=========

Beginning with the all-pervasive Shiva consciousness, to Adi Shankaracharya and all those teachers up to my own Guru, I bow with reverence to the entire Guru Parampara (tradition of teachers).

There is no difference between the Guru, the Self and God. Obeisance to Lord Dakshinamurthy, who is the personification of the Supreme Self that permeates through space.[1]

My salutation to Sri Sadguru Govinda who is of the nature of Bliss Absolute, who can be known only through the import of the essence of Vedanta and who is beyond the reach of the known instruments of perception.[2]

Sadashiva Samarambham

In the beginning was Consciousness. Sada Shiva means what’s always good, what never changes what’s always true, real and good, which is always available, and which is always satisfying to know. Samarambham means “in the beginning”, which means before the world is created.  The world began and the world will end, but before the world began, the world began in something and whatever that something was, that spiritual principle, (it) is here now and we want to contact it. We want to draw its attention to us because It has the power to know. It doesn’t need to know anything, but with the material principle, the Maya principle, then It’s capable of knowing.

In fact that original Consciousness principle is the only knower. Even when you think you don’t know it, it’s really the one that knows whatever is know all the time.

This Guru Purnima, let's renew our commitment to learning, expanding our horizons, and walking the path of wisdom, guided by the light of our Gurus.

Knowledge flourishes 🌱

Sorrow diminishes 😊

Without any reason, joy wells up 🤗

Lack diminishes; abundance dawns 😌

All talents manifest. 🕊️

May these qualities manifest in our lives in the  presence of our Guru🙏🏻

Happy Guru Poornima! ❤️🙏🏻

The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad - Twinkle Khanna

The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad is a collection of four stories on feminism written by the Indian newspaper columnist, film producer, film actress and interior designer Twinkle Khanna. The book was published on 7 November 2016 by Juggernaut Books. It contains four stories: "The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad", "Salam, Noni Appa", "If the Weather Permits", and "The Sanitary Man of Sacred Land".

The book was launched by Twinkle Khanna and her friend Karan Johar in an event hosted by themselves. Twinkle Khanna explained that her book is about feminism and the taboos of society. Twinkle Khanna said in an interview “I would say: People are reading many many bad books in large numbers, so read my book because it’s good!"

Story one is “The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad” which speaks about a girl who changes her village with her idea. The story speaks about society’s view on young girls.

Story two is “Salam, Noni Appa”. It is about relationships and finding love in old age. It speaks the wish of a person's heart is more important than the society's.

Story three “If the weather permits” is about women’s marriage. The story clearly states marry a woman only she is of perfect age irrespective of her wish or the society.

Story four “The Sanitary Man of Sacred Land” is about a man who produces sanitary napkins at a low cost. It is based on the true story of Tamil Nadu activist Arunachalam Muruganantham. In 2018, it has been made into a movie, Pad Man, directed by R. Balki and starring Akshay Kumar, telling how the sanitary man makes sanitary pads for his wife and solved the whole village menstrual problems at low cost.

TINTIN - Michael Farr

A complete companion for Tintin Lovers. If the orginal book is by Georges Remi's this is by Michael Farr.

There is something about Tintin that defines time, language and culture. How is it that this boyish reporter thought up one fine day at the end of the twentieth century's second decade by an unassuming Belgian should be going strong at the start of new millennium?

This is how George Remi created his work. A highly gifted illustrator with a vivid, child-like imagination and deep curiosity in the world around him. By devising a character who would appeal to children as much as grown-ups, though for often quite diferent reasons, Herge struck gold. He said Tintin was aimed at "all young people aged seven to seventy-seven".

This was the first book. An adventure reporter, Tintin's universal appeal, stretching from his birthplace in Brussels to corners of the world far more obscure than those he reached in his globetrotting adventures, has a rock solid foundation in reality, enabling him to transcend fashion, age and nationality.

The perfectionism of detail of the Tintin stories, the real or fictitious but thoroughly convincing settings, mirrored the world as seen by Herge and his public. A new word could be added to the dictionay: Tintinesque, a person or situation typical of the adventures. The eternally youthful Tintin, distinctive only on account of his quiff and, in twenty-two adventures, his plus four trousers, derives an unexpected reality from his surroundings.

Indeed, this is the first book, to explore the sources in real life of all the TinTin Adventures and it will delight Tintinologists everywhere.

Thank you Michael Farr for the amazing sneek-peek into Tintins life and how illustrated comics are made.

The Secret Formula for Success

Success demands these 6 things..

(The Secret Formula)

 1.  Hard Work

Don't believe in luck, believe in hard work.

Stop trying to rush the process or searching for a shortcut.

There is none.

2.  Patience

If you are losing the patience, you are losing the battle.

First nothing happens, then it happens slowly and suddenly all at once.

Most people give up at stage one.

 3.  Sacrifice

If you don't sacrifice for what you want, then what you want becomes the sacrifice.

Everything has its price. The question is: Are you ready to pay it for the life you desire?

4.  Consistency

Consistency is what transforms average into excellence.

Without consistency, you will never achieve greater success.

5.  Discipline

Motivation gets you going, but discipline keeps you growing.

There will be days when you don't “feel” like doing it.

You have to push through those days regardless of how you feel.

 6.  Self Confidence

Confidence is, I'll be fine if they don't like me.

7. Clarity/Focus

Know your 'W', the How will follow.  Take Actions.

The best productivity system:

1. 20 mins of workout

2. 20 mins of reading

3. 20 mins of writing

4. 4 hours of deep work

Do these every day. Watch your life change.

In my experience attracting money by wanting more money never works.

You want more money

Create an UPGRADE LIFE LIST (ULL)

Just the way u never pray for petrol you just buy a car and keep upgrading it.

You never should pray for money by itself.

Always know what and how can money serve you in your life.

Or it will turn master and u never want money to be your master always a means to serve your better life.

This will help you earn.

The path to consistent income a month is simple when you focus on the basics.

  1. Build a great product
  2. Perfect your sales process
  3. Get predictable traffic & sales
That's it.

But to get to the sweet spot in growth requires absolute focus.

  1. Heal the past patterns that stop you
  2. Don't get allured by shiny objects
  3. Upgrade your knowledge and skills
  4. Learn and apply a proper system that's proven
  5. Become a master of technology and tools
  6. Get awesome at sales & conversions
  7. Surround yourself with achievers
The world is your stage. You are a diamond. Now Dazzle.

Tips for Authors - Anita Nair

https://mugafi.com/class/anita-nair-teaches-creative-writing

“If there is no sense of resolution to write a book, it is never going to happen”

1)      Have a sense of resolve : Life is the greatest teacher. There are stories everywhere. Identify and look at the potential.

2)      Let the idea germinate in your head: Let your excitement transfer into passion that drives the story.

3)      Keep writing your ideas in your notebook: Keep going back to exciting ideas, and cross check what you write.

4)      Before you write down, identify your genre and form.

5)      Know the 5 corner stone:

a.       Plot

b.       Structure

c.       Characters

d.       Dialogue – time, period, style

e.       Setting

Any piece of imagination becomes credible and real when it's grounded in observed reality.

6)      Research

7)      Know how to conclude – open ended. Every story is born with a conflict and the conflict has to be resolved one way or the other.

8)      Be Disciplined. Do not talk about your book, until you have almost finished. Write 400 words a day, every 6 days for a year and your book is ready.

9)      Change font and see little problems and clean up before presenting the final manuscript

10)   Title sometimes suggest itself. Listen and write it down. Working title can be different from actual.

" You have little time and so much to know, grab this quick read. It would not disappoint you."

" At a fraction of the cost , that you would pay for your today's swiggy order,  but that would stay with you for a lifetime. "

14)   Nothing sells a book like word of mouth

15)   You need lot of patience

16)   Transmit what audience things and leave a message in their heart and not mind.

The Passion Test : The Effortless Path To Discovering Your Destiny - Janet Bray Attwood & Chris Attwood

"There are two great days in  a person's life - the day we are born and the day we discover why." - William Barclay, Scottish theologian and author.

The number one reason people don't get what they want, is because they don't know what they want.

  1. Clarity is critical to success. Clarity leads to power - the power to act - which is the basis of achievement, fulfilment, and happiness in life.
  2. When you are clear, what you want will show up in your life, and only to the extend that you are clear.
  3. What you put your attention on, grows stronger in your life.
  4. Whenever you are faced with a choice, a decision or an opportunity, choose in favour of your passion. Put a rubberband on your wrist, and pull it, whenever you make choices against your passion.
  5. Your life is created first in your mind, then in your world.

This book covers:

  1. The Key to creating anything you want in your life
  2. A little about the authors
  3. The 'inner work' this book guides you through and why it's critical to your success
  4. How destiny and passion go together
Mantra by Bill Levacy:

Intention - Attention - No Tension

  • Intention: Consciously stating what you choose to create in your life is the first step to manifesting it.
  • Attention: Give attention to what you choose to create in your life, and it will begin to show up.
  • No Tension: When you are open to what is appearing in this moment, you allow God's will to move through you. When you hold tightly to your concepts of how things should be, you shut off the flow of life, which in turn prevents you from enjoying the fulfilment of living your destiny.

Book Divided into two parts:

Part I Covers Discovering your passion

It covers how this began, how the passion test is born, Passion test guidelines, instructions, creating passion life - Your passion Score and Card, creating your markers, allowing the dream to come alive - Your vision board, Your passion page, Your 100th Birthday. The world is as you are.

Passion Test Instructions:

Step 1: At different times, our priority would be different. What are your top 10 priorities? Make a list of at least 10 of the most important things you can think of that would give you a life of joy, passion and fulfillment. Begin each one with a verb relating to being, doing, or having, which completes the sentence:

When my life is ideal, I am....

1

2

3

4

.

.

9

10

Step 2: Compare the items, and identify which are the most important to you. Mostly our first impulse would be most accurate. Be honest, avoid temptation.  Find the top 5 of the 10.

Step 3: Rate each of your top 5 on a scale of 0 to 10,

If your score is any where between

0-20- Then you need more courage in your life

20-30- Less distractions more clarity is what you need

30-40-Pat yourself and try to be more consistent

Above 40-Applaud yourself, as you are on track. Look at other aspects of your life.

Step 4: Create your passion card, and spend your day looking at it. Don't forget to include there 'This or something better!'

Step 5: Take each of the five passions, and write them on top of the paper, and write three to five markers describing what will happen when you are fully living your passion. These are the things that will tell you, your passion is alive and well in your life.

Step 6: Allow your dream to come alive, do'nt forget to mention 'This or something better!' Create your vision board. Your 100th Birthday speech.

100% Responsibility for your life - Courage

'Take 100% Responsibility for your life' is fundamental to creating a successful life. It is the core principle on which everything else is based and should be introduced first. It is designed to get people out of blaming and complaining and into consciously creating the life they desire. This can only happen if they are willing to take 100% responsibility for their results. It is essential to master this piece because everything that follows is designed based on this principle.

In This Principle:

Concepts:

  • E+R = O
  • Notice - Victimhood
  • Who you blame?
  • What your complain about?
  • Your most common genuine excuses?
Demonstrations:
  • What you say to yourself is important
  • E+R=O - 'Biggest Idiot'; E+R=O - 'Green Hair'
  • The quality of your questions become the quality of your life
  • 'Why me God?' need to move to 'How can I?'
  • Row Row Row your boat - a nice analogy to use
  • Luckiest person in the world - If attending a session on self development you are 1% of the world.
Exercises:
  • Grow your hand
  • It it is meant to be, It's up to me
  • Difficult or Troubling situation exercise
  • 'Have to', 'Choose to', 'Get to'
  • Mirror Exercise
  • No complaining, No Blaming, No Excuses - Jar
  • Gratitude Journal
Details:

There is only one person responsible for the quality of the life you live. That person is you.

If you want to be successful, you have to take 100% responsibility for everything that you experience in your life. This includes the level of your achievements, the results you produce, the quality of your relationships, the state of your health and physical fitness, your income, your debts, your feelings—everything!

You will have to give up blaming and complaining and take total responsibility for your life—that means all your results, both your successes and your failures. That is the prerequisite for creating a life of success. It is only by acknowledging that you have created everything up until now that you can take charge of creating the future you want. if you realize that you have created your current conditions, then you can uncreate them and re-create them at will.

You Have to Give up All Your Excuses. Ninety-nine percent of all failures come from people who have a habit of making excuses.

You have to take the position that you have always had the power to make it different, to get it right, to produce the desired result. For whatever reason—ignorance, lack of awareness, fear, needing to be right, the need to feel safe—you chose not to exercise that power. Who knows why? It doesn’t matter. The past is the past. All that matters now is that from this point forward you choose—that’s right, it’s a choice—you choose to act as if (that’s all that’s required—to act as if) you are 100% responsible for everything that does or doesn’t happen to you.

If something doesn’t turn out as planned, you will ask yourself, “How did I create that? What was I
thinking? What were my beliefs? What did I say or not say? What did I do or not do to create that result? How did I get the other person to act that way? What do I need to do differently next time to get the result I want?”

Mr. Stone, Dr. Robert Resnick, a psychotherapist in Los Angeles, taught a very simple but very important formula that made this idea of 100% responsibility even clearer. The formula is:

E + R = O (Event + Response = Outcome)

The basic idea is that every outcome you experience in life (whether it is success or failure, wealth or
poverty, health or illness, intimacy or estrangement, joy or frustration) is the result of how you have
responded to an earlier event or events in your life.

If you don’t like the outcomes you are currently getting, there are two basic choices you can make.

1. You can blame the event (E) for your lack of results (O).
2. You can instead simply change your responses (R) to the events (E)—the way things are—until you get the outcomes (O) you want.

If You Don’t Like Your Outcomes, Change Your Responses

Everything You Experience Today is the Result of Choices You Have Made in the Past
Everything you experience in life—both internally and externally—is the result of how you have responded to a previous event.

If You Keep on Doing What You’ve Always Done, You’ll Keep on Getting What You’ve Always Got

Twelve-step programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous define insanity as “continuing the same
behavior and expecting a different result.” It ain’t gonna happen! If you are an alcoholic and you keep
on drinking, your life is not going to get any better. Likewise, if you continue your current behaviors,
your life is not going to get any better either.

The day you change your responses is the day your life will begin to get better! If what you are
currently doing would produce the “more” and “better” that you are seeking in life, the more and
better would have already shown up! If you want something different, you are going to have to do
something different!

You Have to Give up Blaming

All blame is a waste of time. No matter how much fault you find with another, and regardless of how much you blame him, it will not change you. ~ WAYNE DYER

In short, you thought the thoughts, you created the feelings, you made the choice, you said the words, and that’s why you are where you are now.

You Have to Give up Complaining

The man who complains about the way the ball bounces is likely the one who dropped it.
LOU HOLTZ

You’re Complaining to the Wrong Person

Have you ever noticed that people almost always complain to the wrong people—to people who
can’t do anything about their complaint? They go to work and complain about their spouse; then they
come home and complain to their spouse about the people at work. Why? Because it’s easier; it’s less
risky. It takes courage to tell your spouse that you are not happy with the way things are at home. It
takes courage to ask for a behavioral change. It also takes courage to ask your boss to plan better so
that you don’t end up working every weekend. But only your boss can do anything about that. Your
spouse can’t.

Learn to replace complaining with making requests and taking action that will achieve your desired outcomes. That is what successful people do. That is what works. If you find yourself in a situation
you don’t like, either work to make it better or leave. Do something to change it or get the heck out.
Agree to work on the relationship or get a divorce. Work to improve working conditions or find a
new job. Either way, you will get a change. As the old adage says, “Don’t just sit there (and complain), do something.” And remember, it’s up to you to make the change, to do something different. The world doesn’t owe you anything. You have to create it.

You Either Create or Allow Everything that Happens to You

To be powerful, you need to take the position that you create or allow everything that happens to you.

You directly cause something to happen by your actions or inactions. If you walk up to a man in a bar who is bigger than you, has obviously been drinking for a long time, and say to him, “You are really ugly and stupid,” and he jumps off the bar stool, hits you in the jaw, and you end up in the hospital—you created that.

So you pretend not to see and not to know because it is easier, more convenient and less uncomfortable, avoids confrontation, keeps the peace, and protects you from having to take risks.

Life Becomes Much Easier

Successful people, on the other hand, face facts squarely. They do the uncomfortable and take steps to create their desired outcomes. Successful people don’t wait for disasters to occur and then blame something or someone else for their problems.

Once you begin to respond quickly and decisively to signals and events as they occur, life becomes much easier. You start seeing improved outcomes both internally and externally. Old internal self-talk such as “I feel like a victim; I feel used; nothing ever seems to work out for me” is replaced with “I feel great; I am in control; I can make things happen.”

It’s Simple

The bottom line is that you are the one who is creating your life the way it is. The life you currently live is the result of all of your past thoughts and actions. You are in charge of your current thoughts and your present feelings. You are in charge of what you say and what you do. You are also in charge of what goes into your mind—the books and magazines you read, the movies and television shows you watch, and the people you hang out with. Every action is under your control. To be more successful, all you have to do is act in ways that produce more of what you want.

That’s it. It’s that simple!

Simple isn’t Necessarily Easy.

Though this principle is simple, it is not necessarily easy to implement. It requires concentrated awareness, dedicated discipline, and a willingness to experiment and take risks. You have to be
willing to pay attention to what you are doing and to the results you are producing. You have to ask yourself, your family, your friends, your colleagues, your managers, your teachers, your coaches, and
your clients for feedback. “Is what I’m doing working? Could I be doing it better? Is there something
more I should be doing that I am not? Is there something I am doing that I should stop doing? How do
you see me limiting myself?”

Don’t be afraid to ask. Most people are afraid to ask for feedback about how they are doing because they are afraid of what they are going to hear. There is nothing to be afraid of. The truth is the
truth. You are better off knowing the truth than not knowing it. And once you know, you can do
something about it. You cannot improve your life, your relationships, your game, or your performance
without feedback.

Slow down and pay attention. Life will always give you feedback about the effects of your behavior if you will just pay attention. If your golf ball is always slicing to the right, if you’re not making sales, if you’re getting C’s in all your college courses, if your children are mad at you, if your body is tired and weak, if your house is a mess, or if you’re not happy—this is all feedback. It is telling you that something is wrong. This is the time to start paying attention to what is happening.

Ask yourself: How am I creating or allowing this to happen? What am I doing that’s working that I need to be doing more of? (Should I do more practicing, meditating, delegating, trusting, listening, asking questions, keeping my eye on the ball, advertising, saying “I love you,” controlling my carbohydrate intake?)

What am I doing that’s not working? What do I need to be doing less of? (Am I talking too much,
watching too much television, spending too much money, eating too much sugar, drinking too
much, being late too often, gossiping, putting other people down?)

What am I not doing that I need to try on to see if it works? (Do I need to listen more, exercise, get more sleep, drink more water, ask for help, do more marketing, read, plan, communicate, delegate, follow through, hire a coach, volunteer, or be more appreciative?)

But the formula is simple—do more of what is working, do less of what isn’t, and try on new behaviors to see if they produce better results.

Pay Attention…Your Results Don’t Lie.

The easiest, fastest, and best way to find out what is or isn’t working is to pay attention to the results
you are currently producing. You are either rich or you are not. You either command respect or you
don’t. You are either golfing par or you are not. You are either maintaining your ideal body weight or
you are not. You are either happy or you are not. You either have what you want or you don’t.

It’s that simple.

Results don’t lie!

(The Success Principles - Jack Canfield)

Clarity - 'Be Clear why you're here'

'Be clear why you're here' is one of the core principles for success. Everything else stems from getting in touch with that which we are put on this earth to do, our Passion and Purpose.

Tap into what bring you most joy and passion. It is okay not to be able to be in touch with your life's purpose right away.  Have goals and design life filled with more aliveness, passion and joy.

Clarity does not come from joy, it comes from engagement. We can't get clarity by waiting for the right path for there is no right path. We have to walk and keep detouring till we find the right path for ourselves.

You can get this done by following the below concepts:

  • The Passion Test
  • Ikigai Question
  • Life purpose meditation
  • Joy Review Exercise
  • 'Do', 'Be', 'Have' exercise
  • The Clarity Chart

At different times, our priority would be different. What are your top 10 priority.

Sample of top 10 in Passion Test Worksheet

 1) Quality time with Friends and Family

2 ) Building own venture.

3) Morning routine

4) My career and Job

5) Travelling the world

6) Looking after  mom

7) Reading book, writing, Publishing them

8) 65 kgs by year end , dancing and working on health

9) Creating and helping people create assets

10) Making this world a better place, leaving a legacy.

At different times, our priority would be different. Don't judge on what's on top. Look at which are your top 5 and assess them. Put them in the order of priority.

If your score is any where between

  • 0-20- Then you need more courage in your life
  • 20-30- Less distractions more clarity is what you need
  • 30-40-Pat yourself and try to be more consistent
  • Above 40-Applaud yourself, as you are on track. look at other aspects of your life.

Write what need to be done. Clear distinct measurable goal to get it done.

2. Be Clear Why You're Here

Learn to get in touch with the silence within yourself and know that everything in life has a purpose.

ELISABETH KUBLER-ROSS, M.D. Psychiatrist and author of the classic On Death and Dying

I believe each of us is born with a life purpose. Identifying, acknowledging, and honoring this purpose is perhaps the most important action successful people take. They take the time to understand what they’re here to do—and then they pursue that with passion and enthusiasm.

What Were You Put on this Earth to Do?

I discovered long ago what I was put on this earth to do. I determined my true purpose in life, my “right livelihood.” I discovered how to inject passion and determination into every activity I undertake. And I learned how purpose can bring an aspect of fun and fulfillment to virtually everything I do.

You see, without a purpose in life, it’s easy to get sidetracked on your life’s journey. It’s easy to wander and drift, accomplishing little. But with a purpose, everything in life seems to fall into place. To be “on purpose” means you’re doing what you love to do, doing what you’re good at and accomplishing what’s important to you.

When you truly are on purpose, the people, resources, and opportunities you need naturally gravitate toward you. The world benefits, too, because when you act in alignment with your true life purpose, all of your actions automatically serve others.

My life purpose is to inspire and empower people to live their highest vision in a context of love and joy. I inspire people to live their highest vision  by collecting and disseminating inspiring stories.I empower people to live their dreams by writing practical self help books like Post Pandemic Graduate, Finance for Truck drivers; designing courses for high school students; and conducting seminars and workshops for adults that teach powerful tools for creating one’s ideal life.

Decide upon your major definite purpose in life and then organize all your activities around it. ~ BRIAN TRACY

One of America’s leading authorities on the development of human potential and personal effectiveness

Once you know what your life purpose is, you can organize all of your activities around it. Everything you do should be an expression of your purpose. If an activity doesn’t fit that formula, you wouldn’t work on it. Period.

What’s the “Why” Behind Everything You Do?

Without purpose as the compass to guide you, your goals and action plans may not ultimately fulfill you. You don’t want to get to the top of the ladder only to find out you had it leaning up against the wrong wall.

What is a job I would love so much that I’d do it for free but that I could actually get paid for?

Your Inner Guidance System is Your Joy

It is the soul’s duty to be loyal to its own desires. It must abandon itself to its master passion.

DAME REBECCA WEST Best-selling author

You were born with an inner guidance system that tells you when you are on or off purpose by the amount of joy you are experiencing. The things that bring you the greatest joy are in alignment with your purpose. To begin to home in on your purpose, make a list of the times you have felt most joyful and alive. What are the common elements of these experiences? Can you figure out a way to make a living doing these things?

“Figure out what you love to do as young as you can, and then organize your life around figuring out how to make a living at it.”

Staying on Purpose

Once you have determined and written down your life purpose, read it every day, preferably in the morning. If you are artistic or strongly visual by nature, you may want to draw or paint a symbol or picture that represents your life purpose and then hang it somewhere (on the refrigerator, opposite your desk, near your bed) where you will see it every day. This will keep you focused on your purpose.

Another approach to clarifying your purpose is to set aside some time for quiet reflection—time for a period of meditation. (Principle 47, “Inquire Within”). After you become relaxed and enter intoa state of deep self-love and peacefulness, ask yourself, What is my purpose for living? or What is my unique role in the universe? Allow the answer to simply come to you. Let it be as expansive as you can imagine. The words that come need not be flowery or poetic; what is important is how inspired the words make you feel.

Smart Vs. Brilliant People - Questions

There is a difference between SMART people and BRILLIANT people.

The more I studied truly exceptional people, the more I realised:

Brilliant people DON’T solve problems.

They ASK QUESTIONS.

And then the questions solve the problems.

Here are my top 3 questions:

1. “What is the most important thing for you in life right now?”

Whenever someone asks me for career advice, this is the first question I ask them to answer.

If it is money, then are they ready to face a toxic work culture because of it?

If it is peace, then are they ready to sacrifice their luxuries for it?

It is a very interesting question, and you won’t believe how many people are unable to answer it.

Why is the answer important?

Because here is the thing with humans: if we do not know what is the one thing we want from life right now, the next best thing we want is EVERYTHING.

And that is a disaster.

2. “What do you WANT to do?”

Going to the depth of the reason behind their actions tells a person so much about their own selves.

Do they operate out of obligation (have to), lack of choice (need to), or desire (want to)?

3. What is the worst thing that can happen?

Are you ready to face that worst thing?

Emotionally, socially, financially, psychologically, and physically?

If yes, go for it!

If there is even a shred of doubt, then don’t.

The number of problems that just answering these 3 questions will solve for most answers you are looking for, in life :)

Asterix and Son

Asterix and Son is the twenty-seventh volume of the Asterix comic book series, created by author René Goscinny and illustrator Albert Uderzo. It was the third Asterix album to be written and illustrated by Uderzo and my first. Courtesy my hubby. This was his request on renewing the library membership.

Asterix, the hero of these adventures. A shrewd, cunning little warrior, all perilous missions are immediately entrusted to him. Asterix gets his superhuman strength from the magic potion brewed by the druid Getafix.

Obelix, Asterix's inseparable friend. A menhir Delivery-man by trade, addicted to wild boar. Obelix is always ready to drop everything and go off on a new adventure with Asterix - so long as there is wild boar to eat, and plenty of fighting. His constant companion is Dogmatix, the only known canine ecologist, who howls with despair when a tree is cut down.

Getafix, the venerable village druid, gathers mistletoe and brews magic potions. His speciality is the Potion which gives the Drinker Superhuman strength. But Getafix also has other recipes up his sleeve..

Cocofonix, the Brad. Opinion is divided as to his musical gifts. Cacofonix thinks he's a genius. Everyone else thinks he is unspeakable. But so long as he does'nt speak, let alone sing, everybody likes him...

Vitalstatistix, the chief of the Tribe. Majestic, brave and hot-tempered. The old warrior is respected by his men and feared by his enemies. Vitalstatistix himself has only one fear, he is afraid the sky may fall on his head tomorrow. But as he always says, Tomorrow never comes.

A baby boy mysteriously appears on Asterix's doorstep one sunny morning. Stung by speculation that he could be the father, Asterix sets out with Obelix to find the baby's parents. Their only clue is the embroidered linen of the baby's clothes and wrappings, suggesting he comes from a rich Roman family. The Romans attempt to kidnap the baby, at the behest of Marcus Junius Brutus, Caesar's adopted son. Getafix realizes that the baby was left in the village for its protection.

While in the village, the baby twice drinks the magic potion, first by accident when Obelix uses a half-full potion gourd as a feeding bottle; later, he falls into a nearly-empty cauldron of potion. The baby smashes the doors of several houses and harms the Roman spies sent to capture him, including a legionary disguised as a rattle peddler, and the Prefect of Gaul, Crismus Cactus, who is disguised as a nursemaid. Finally, Brutus takes matters into his own hands, attacking the village with his own legions and burning it to the ground. The men of the village entrust the baby to the women, before fighting the Romans. Brutus seizes the baby from the women and escapes with the help of the pirates, but soon Asterix and Obelix catch up with him and rescue the baby.

The unexpected arrival of Caesar and then Cleopatra resolves the mystery. The baby is their son, Caesarion. Brutus had sought to kill the baby in order to become sole heir to Caesar's property and fortune, so Cleopatra had the boy sent to the Gaulish village for his protection. Caesar exiles Brutus to Upper Germania and promises to rebuild the village. The story ends with a banquet on Cleopatra's royal barge.

Serene Mind, Soul Sync and Remove Stress

There are thoughts 'n' number of them, that cross our mind day in and day out.

Some broadly divide these into Positive thoughts and negative thoughts.

What are negative thoughts?

They are anything that would create stress in you.

“Stress comes from not taking action, about something that you can control. As soon as you identify and take action to address the situation, it helps reduce stress. It comes from ignoring what you need to do. You can be in or out of work and be in stress. If you keep worrying and do nothing, you would be stressed.”

Stress state can be broadly divided into three:

  • Stress from Anger - This could lead to frustration,
  • Stress from Fear - Fear is mostly about future, leading you to anxiety.
  • Stress from Sorrow - Sorrow or sadness come out of something that has happened in the past, and lead you to depression.

Suppressed anger hurts us in 3 ways.

One, it causes chronic diseases among us. Anger is a destructive force.

Two, it become addiction and hurt us. Unable to cope with the anger that consumes us, we fall into destructive habits like stealing, overeating, and quitting in the middle of work.

Three, anger leads to maddened crying and despair.

It is natural to get angry and frustrated for a while. But it must dissolve. When anger lingers in our thoughts it will consume you so much that if it goes into extreme, you might even get heart attack or brain haemorrhage.

Your anger will not make you remember the good in them just like the night make sky invisible.

Changes brought about by anger, hatred and violence in any system are either irreversible or spread like an infectious disease.

Getting angry again and again will make you desensitized and become a beast.

In anger you have a monkey mind. Your freedom is to let go of anger as the monkey is free to let go of sweets. Put the anger aside for a few moments and don't blame yourself, think about how much anger has cost you. Finally practice Serene mind.

So with fear and sorrow.

The opposite of this is the state of satisfaction, joy, happiness, peace, bliss.

There are various ways, in which you can move from one state of mind to another, in case you try; or you can continue to be in your present state.

There could be a regular practise you follow, a music, dance, drawing, getting into nature.

Serene mind practice do not take much time, its a 3 minute task

  • Close your eyes. Pay attention to your breathe. Inhale and Exhale deep.
  • What is the exact emotion that is arising within you right now? - fear , anger, frustration, sorrow, sadness, love, joy, peace? Identify the exact emotion. Absorb the movement of your mind. Are you obsessed about your past, your future, or are you living in the present?
  • See a flame, see a flame move from the centre of your forehead to your skull. See the flame glow in the middle of your skull. Bring a smile to your face and open your eyes.
Continue doing this practise whenever you feel disturbed.

Joy matters, it is important, to bring joy to your life. A you bring constant attention to your inner state, your state would transform.

Practice the soul sync meditation It will not take more than 15 minutes.

Sit erect with palms up, concentrate on breathing.
  1. For every breath you take, touch your thumb to different fingers. In this manner take 8 complete breath. Keep touching the finger and bring attention back to breath.
  2. Inhale and while exhaling create a humming sound. Each time you hum touch the tip of your finger and do it 8 times like the previous step.
  3. When you breath slowly, there is a pause between inhalation and exhalation. Bring attention to that point. Keep count of your breath by touching your finger tips. Observe 8 breath pauses in this manner.
  4. Internally chant the mantra 'Aham' eight times on your exhale, touching your finger tips.
  5. Touch you index finger with your thumb, and visualise your limited self expanding into cosmic self. Without boundaries, limitations, into the limitless field of consciousness, of endless possibilities.
  6. Make an intention for the manifestation of one desire, visualise and feel that it is happening. Feel the sense of fulfilment and joy. When ready take a deep breath and Open your eyes.
Thanks to Sasiman, for the invite for this session at the Ramakrishna Mission Ashram at Azad road.

Do what you love, Stress happen when you procrastinate. Life takes over and you are stressed. Stress comes by not taking action. The mere fact that you are addressing the problem, relives the stress. Good stress is working and bad stress is not taking action. Take on positive pressure and action.

What is the use of all the knowledge, unless you can put it into practise.

Happiness is my nature

Happiness is who I am

Happiness and Love is what I radiate to everyone

I am a Happy Being

I am a loveful soul

Powerful and divine.

Let me just check

in any corner of my mind

or deep in my subconscious

Do I hold any person or any thing

Which I belive is the cause of my emotional hurt

Scan the mind, check, it could be recent, it could be very old.

It could be brused aside, but it is still there deep.

Is there any thing that is the cause of emotional

Something that happened, someone who was responsible for.

A mistake they made, or a mistake I made

Do I still, in a very suttle way, still blame someone for my hurt?

For the rejection I feel, for the insult I experienced,

And today, I am certain, I am going to release from my mind

Shift them, not from a painful past

But from present and future full of love and blessings

Because I am a powerful being

What I feel is not because of what they did,

What I feel is because of what I feel they did,

My feelings are because of what I think about them,

I choose forgiveness, I choose acceptance, I choose love

Because that is truely my nature, it is who I am .

It is the vibration,at which I live my life,

Because that is where true happiness is.

Thank you so much.

come back to the present.

Only one thing that we need to be happy 'ALWAYS' are - ALWAYS, Because we are happy, but get diverted sometimes.

Remember, their power is outside. They have the power to say and do what they belive is right. We have the power to think what we belive is right.

Shift from the life of blame, to personal responsibility.

Creator of our Thoughts and feelings is we ourselves. 'I' the energy - light, power, consciousness, energy - whatever.

Affirm many times a day.

I am the creator of my thoughts and feelings.

All the 'because of' has to fall off.

I choose how to be in the face of stimulus.

Don't say 'I cannot live without'....You become dependent. Just one shift today say 'I choose to...'

It will become a natural way of living. 'I create the stress...'

Stress = Pressure/Resilience

Pressure is not in my control - it can be current situation in the world, health or any external things.

It is mind over matter; not matter over mind.

Happiness means, being emotionally independent. Not just, physical, mental, financial.

It is power.

Those using abusive language, are not in the right state of mind, they are emotionally in pain, and what they say and do, is reflecting that.

Our emotion and thought is our creation. Be empathetic, compassionate and forgive. When you forgive, your are forgiving self.

I forgive, I forget means - It doesn't hurt anymore. You cannot forget.

Say 'It's over, I release, I let it go. '

I am a empathetic, loving soul.

Why things happen to us again repeatedly?

I am not this body. When someone die, we say, he is left. Master of the body has left.

Where do I go?

Life, after life after life, is just like a costume.

When  souls meet, in the first go sometimes we feel a connect. Sometimes we have known someone for long, but never feel the connect.

We are all souls on a journey. Many many karmas, experiences, thoughts, emotional pattern.

We play role's in this lifetime. If we have Karmic discomfort , it could be for various reasons. So some go through the past life regression. Past is already done. We do not have to worry about it.

Power lies in the present. What I choose to do in the present, will decide the future.

So the world say, everything is pre-destined. Pre-destined by whom? By me.

Past is destiny. Future is Free will.

Send the energy, that you want to create.

Focus only on what you are giving in thoughts, feelings and emotions. Forgiveness means I am changing my present Karma.

If you don't heal your pain's from the womb of mother, from birth, it will be carried with us.

Affirm every morning and night what we are healing is in the subconscious:

I am a pure powerful soul.

Purity is my personality.

Love and Happiness is who I am.

I create happy thoughts always.

I radiate love and compassion to everyone.

Past is past, is over.

I am sorry, I am sorry, for what I have done in the past

I forgive you for what you Have done in the present

Our past karmic account is over

I radiate only love and blessings to you because this is who I am

I am the master of my mind

I am the creator of my destiny

🙏 Namaste

Then you travel light, no emotional baggage.

Light is always happy and pure. Extremely powerful. Simple.

Release, clean, forgive, everyday before going to bed.

Apologise, before going to bed.

Thoughts travel. Clean the clutter from the mind every day. There will be no baggage.

Radiating happiness is the simplest thing you can do in life.

When someone is stuck in a state of emotions:

It's like what should I do when I am physically unwell?

Two things - chances of falling ill less lead a good life for emotional immunity system, and then medicine.

What is needed is:

  1. Good rest to the mind, good sleep. It's not about long hours, but deep sleep. Best time is 10 pm to 2 am.  Best waking up time is 4 am to 5 am.
  2. Eat 2.5 hours before sleep.
  3. Don't let negative content get into mind. What we watch, read, listen, is who we become. Content = Destiny = Personality. Consume pure content, 15 minutes before going to sleep and as soon as you wake up. High emotional nutritional content Morning and night. Being informed of what is going in the world is okay, don't consume it. I need to become that which can change the world, and not consume what is happening in the world.
  4. Take Pause of 1 minute every hour. Just a minute meditation. Sit back and reaffirm. 'I am pure and powerful, I let go of what happened in the last hour, and I am available and acceptable in the next hour.'
Diet - self reflection.

Inspite of that if there is emotional breakdown:

  1. Take a book, audio or video and consume it - it will give strength
  2. Take a minute, council self, as you were counselling a friend, either say or write.
Grief - to overcome.

We are a family of 4 - we lose one. That one lost 3 of us, and the body. How much they have lost? Their pain is more. Soul is going through after body experience. My responsibility now is to heal them, before they enter a new womb a new destiny. It needs to start with Happiness, and power and blessings.

When I am in pain, our vibration of pain reach them. Radiate gratitude and say farewell with gratitude for memories created. Send them with gratitude and blessings.

I am a powerful soul, and you are a very very powerful soul. Thank you for every moment with us, and we are still together,  you are still with us..dont worry about us, we will take care of us. You are always with us ...Perfect healthy body, loving mind and all good in your destiny......We will always remember you with love, love and only love and blessings.

Miss them with love and not with pain.

Moving out will depend on how much you are attached. More attached, more difficult it will be to leave. Like cloths. Tighter your dress, difficult to remove. Art of living is art of dying, and art of dying. It like people who are constantly travelling, they have bags ready, and can move on. But those not used to travel, will take time to pack and finish of things.

Conflict's of value vs. Conflict of beliefs and rules are different.

Enlightment: When I get out of my old way of pain and darkness. We are always on a journey, and it happens every single day.

When you are with people of Negative energy: - what do you do when someone is physically sick?
  1. Begin with self, delete negative from our aura
  2. Never thing that he is at a negative energy - say he is a pure soul.
  3. Energy is the fastest thing we can catch, radiate positive one.
  4. Learn how to respond to a stimulas with a positive word, else it would have escalated
  5. Heal the soul, and the outside healing would happen, building emotional immunity. Attachment is suttle, and it is addiction. Reflect on the soverginity, and not the current identity. Recognise with the clarity of love. Remember you are talking to a pure beautiful soul, not the labels.  You have to see it first in yourself. What you see in yourself is what you will see in others.
Most of us doubt our believes and believe our doubts. If you experience the life you focus on, understand meaning.

Know the difference between I and mine. Don't say they will go through. We are empowered, we empower them.

Let go, Self respect is not on public approval. It's a deep conditioning. Self- esteem should not be based on public approval.

Don't change and become what the world want you to be.

Prime, the mind and body, to be you. Pure souls. Anyone bullying, will not effect.

Planting Kanikunna - Mission This Vishu

A small thought and desire as we come to an end of this day. 15th April has turned out to be a very special day for me.

Seeing people struggling to get Kanikonna (Cassia fistula) flower this year , which is such a beautiful golden shower and the state flower of Kerala.  Urge each one to plant at least one tree of this flower.  In your own backyard if you have some space, or gift it to someone who you think will take care of it?

Can you please spread this word? We need more trees, and this one is beautiful indeed.

"... മനസ്സിലുണ്ടാവട്ടേ

ഗ്രാമത്തിൻ വെളിച്ചവും

മണവും മമതയും -

ഇത്തിരി കൊന്നപ്പൂവും!"

-- വൈലോപ്പിള്ളി

My dad would say planting a tree help keep alive the memory of your loved ones. Dedicated to a person you love.

Losing a loved one on this day couple of years before, this is for you. Do share pics when done.
