Tomb of Sand Vs. Reth Samadhi - Geethanjali Sree

This is the first attempt in reading a Hindi and an English Book together. Was fascinated for couple of reasons:

1. First person to get Booker prize in Hindi

2. The English Novel, has pages almost twice that of Hindi.

Geetanjali Shree also known as Geetanjali Pandey, is an Indian Hindi-language novelist and short-story writer based in New Delhi and the translation was done by Daisy Rockwell

English has Introduction, chapter names, and 20th page in Hindi book was the 40th in English. So no wonder.

KK - The singer

Born in Delhi on 23 August 1968 to Malayali parents, Krishnakumar Kunnath made is Career in Mumbai, and died in Calcutta on 31st May 2022, doing what he loved the best - Singing - live performance. This  live music concert was at the Gurudas College festival at Nazrul Mancha auditorium, in South Kolkata. He sang 3,500 jingles before breaking into Bollywood.

The last song he sang was:

Pal (Moments)

Whether we are there tomorrow or not,

These moments will nevertheless be remembered.

Moments - these are moments of love,

Come, come along with me.

Come, what are you thinking,

Life is short

If we do get a tomorrow, it would be good fortune.

Not many knew him, as a person, but loved his songs - current generation grew up listening to his songs. He made an appearance in the song "Josh of India", released to support the Indian Cricket Team during the 1999 Cricket World Cup.

KK married Jyothy in 1991, and has a son Nakul Krishna Kunnath and a daughter Thamara. For his funeral we could see them and many singers from Bollywood, but did not see his parents - nor did we see him much in malayalam - inspite of his songs being a huge hit in many other languages, including Tamil and Marathi. He was from Thrissur.

The Vedas and Upanishads -Roopa Pai

Vedas are the most ancient, Sanskrit texts ever, also the most ancient Indian texts in any Indo - European language. It is a vast and random, collection of Sanskrit poetry, philosophical stories, spells, incantations, mantras, musical notations, how-to guides for all kinds of rituals, and more.

Each of the four Vedas, i.e. the Rig, The Yajur, The Sama and The Atharva, is organized into four sections - the Samhita, the Brahmana (say braah-mana), the Aranyaka (say aa-ranyaka) and the Upanishad. Well there is a fifth Veda too called Panchama Veda.

Vyasa is regarded by tradition as the compiler of the mantras of the Vedas into four Vedas, as well as the author of the eighteen Puranas and the Brahma Sutras.

While the Arya worshipped all different deities, they believed that all of them were only manifestations of one Supreme Being, the formless, nameless one they called Ishvara. In the Upanishads, which were composed 1,000 years after the Vedas, this Supreme Being came to be called Brahman.

Upanishad literally translates to sitting close to someone, at a lower level. They were meant to be heard, like the Vedas, as these were communicated orally. They were sacred sounds. Often structured as a dialogue between a teacher and a student.

While the Vedas describe rituals and invoke gods of one particular culture or people, the Upanishads talk about universal truths that anyone from any culture can relate to and live by.  Bu perhaps what is even more wonderful about the latter is that they allow for several interpretations, including some seriously contradictory ones - the debate is never over, the jury is always out.

There are 108+Upanishad's but this covers the main 10 namely:

  1. Isha: The Upanishad of the Sameness of All things
  2. Kena: The Upanishad of 'Whence - Came - IT- All'?
  3. Katha: The Upanishad of the Secret of Eternal life
  4. Prashna: The Upanishad of the Peepul Tree Sage
  5. Mundaka: The Upanishad of the Big Shave
  6. Mandukya: The Upanishad of the Frog
  7. Taittiriya: The Upanishad of the Partridges
  8. Aitarey: The Upanishad of the Glory of Being Human
  9. Chandogya: The Upanishad of the Sacred Metre
  10. Brihadaranyaka: The Great Forest Upanishad.
Comming soon and the next is 'The Upanishads' by Swami Nikhilananda.

Chicken Soup for the Woman's Soul - Jack Canfield

 Yes Vs. No

The inner voice. You decide when to say Yes, and when to say No.

Poem - No. Story - Yes . If you try, you succeed, if you don't you can try again.

Be a Queen

EDITORS' NOTE: Over the years, we have been inspire by messages about love and the power of choice that great women of the world have given us. One of the most inspiring messages has come through the words, actions, and examples of one of the world's most loved and respected women, Oprah Winfrey. Continually she reminds us that within every woman lies a queen, waiting to claim her glory.

Referring to a theme used by Marianne Williamson in her book A Woman's Worth, Oprah said the following in a commencement address to the graduates of all-female Spelman College in 1993:

Be a queen. Dare to be different. Be a pioneer. Be a leader. Be the kind of woman who in the face of adversity will continue to embrace life and walk fearlessly toward the challenge. Take it on! Be a truth seeker and rule your domain, whatever it isyour home, your office, your familywith a loving heart.

Be a queen. Be tender. Continue to give birth to new ideas and rejoice in your womanhood ... My prayer is that we will stop wasting time being mundane and mediocre ... We are daughters of Godhere to teach the world how to love ...

It doesn't matter what you've been through, where you come from, who your parents arenor your social or economic status. None of that matters.

What matters is how you choose to love, how you choose to express that love through your work, through your family, through what you have to give to the world ...

Be a queen. Own your power and your glory!

Oprah Winfrey

Mrs. Smith had an opportunity to ask the little boy what had happened to his eye. He considered her question for a long moment, then replied, lifting the patch, "There's nothing wrong with my eye. I'm a pirate!" Then he returned to his game.

Ruby's arms. "Grandma, I've spilled my honey all over your brand new carpet."

Grandma Ruby knelt down, looked tenderly into Sheena's tearful eyes and said, "Don't worry sweetheart, we can get you more honey."

Angela's Word

When Angela was very young,

Age two or three or so,

Her mother and her father

Taught her never to say NO.

They taught her that she must agree

With everything they said,

And if she didn't, she was spanked

And sent upstairs to bed.

So Angela grew up to be

A most agreeable child;

She was never angry

And she was never wild;

She always shared, she always cared,

She never picked a fight,

And no matter what her parents said,

She thought that they were right.

.

.

.

.

But one cold night near Christmastime

When her family was in bed,

She lay awake as awful thoughts went spinning through her head;

She didn't know why, and she didn't know how,

But she wanted her life to end;

So she begged Whoever put her here

To take her back again.

And then she heard, from deep inside,

A voice that was soft and low;

It only said a single word

And the word it said was ... NO.

From that moment on, Angela knew

Exactly what she had to do.

Her life depended on that word,

So this is what her loved ones heard:

.

.

.

.

Today Angela's a person first, then a mother and a wife.

She knows where she begins and ends,

She has a separate life.

She has talents and ambitions,

She has feelings, needs and goals.

She has money in the bank and

An opinion at the polls.

And to her boy and girl she says,

"It's nice when we agree;

But if you can't say NO, you'll never grow

To be all you're meant to be.

Because I know I'm sometimes wrong

And because I love you so,

You'll always be my angels

Even when you tell me NO."

Just Say Yes

Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.

Helen Keller

I'm a standup comic. I was working at a radio station in New York, doing the weather as this character called June East (Mae West's longlost sister). One day, a woman from The Daily News called and said she wanted to do an article on me. When she had finished interviewing me for the article, she asked, "What are you planning to do next?"

Well, at the time, there was absolutely nothing I was planning on doing next, so I asked her what she meant, stalling for time. She said she really wanted to follow my career. Here was a woman from The

Daily News telling me she was interested in me! So I thought I'd better tell her something. What came out was, "I'm thinking about breaking the Guinness Book of World Records for Fastest-Talking Female."

I tell them

I live my life by this simple philosophy: I always say yes first; then I ask, Now, what do I have to do to accomplish that?

Then I ask myself, What is the worst thing that can happen if I don't succeed? The answer is, I simply don't succeed! And what's the best thing that can happen? I succeed!

What more can life ask of you? Be yourself, and have a good time!

Unconscious Bias

Unconscious bias refers to biases or shortcuts our brains make, that we are unaware of and which happen outside of our control. Our brain scan assess what feels safe, familiar, valuable and likable, all behind the curtain of our conscious mind. In general, it's a good thing we're not conscious of everything our brain does, we're able to make quick judgments and assessments of people in situations, and this is integral to our day-to-day function, yet it comes at a cost, particularly when left unexamined. These snap judgments don't just kick in the moment you're in danger, or need to react with an urgency, there always present leading us to draw conclusions based on partial or incomplete information. No matter what we actually believe or think, consciously, these little unconscious biases can hurt other people. So since losing this important brain function isn't really an option, what can you do to stop it from causing harm? First, recognize that accepting your own unconscious bias isn't easy. It takes a particular level of comfort, even bravery to take responsibility for choices that by definition, you've had no conscious, part in. It takes effort to even find out what these biases are. By accepting that they exist, you can uncover the unconscious, you can question those snap decisions and immediate conclusions. Examine your impulses and instincts. Once you have a handle on how your unconscious biases manifest themselves, you'll be ready to start managing the impact your biases have on your decisions.

Surround yourself with first class people and people you like, choose your partner very very carefully.

Successful women are flat at top, because of constant tapping - with appreciation for well done, and long legs to walk away from the kitchen sink.

There is beauty in work, if we enjoy and do it humility. We live our life forward. Welcome change.

Questions to ask yourself before you lead a discussion:

In the spirit of fostering dynamic conversations in which all voices are respected and heard, here ar questions to consider before you lead a discussion on this idea:

1. What is your comfort level or prior experience with this topic?

2. What is your comfort level or prior experience facilitating a conversation with other people on this topic?

3. What are your hopes for the outcome of the conversation — both for yourself and for others involved?

4. Likewise, what are your concerns?

5. What resources in your organization are available to help you have a successful conversation? If you think you need additional resources, how will you seek them out?

6. What is the ideal group size for this conversation?

7. How well do participants already know each other? What is the level of engagement and trust of this group? What level of engagement or trust do they have in your organization?

8. What is the ideal setting and context for this conversation?

Reminders

• You don’t have to be an expert on a topic to lead a discussion! Sharing with the group up front that you are there to listen and facilitate (more than contribute) helps level the playing field.

• Don’t shy away from discomfort.

• Recognize that there’s no one right way to participate. Instead of talking, some participants may choose to take notes and reflect on the discussion afterwards, and that’s OK.

• Avoid singling anyone out: no one should be expected to represent a group or idea.

Setting up the conversation

• Welcome the group and acknowledge participants’ shared purpose.

• Help create a safe space by agreeing to shared values and group norms. Here’s language you can use as inspiration:

“The spirit of this discussion is one that values curiosity, debate, inclusion and impact. As a group, we’ll ensure everyone can participate in the way that is meaningful and comfortable for them, while remaining present, and showing respect.”

• You can set ground rules to help put these norms into action. For example:

- Let’s try to stick to “I” statements.

- All contributions will be valued, and no one will be called out.

- Everyone can decide what participation looks like to them (for example, by taking notes  and reflecting individually).

Introduction

Protagonists (ENFJs) feel called to serve a greater purpose in life. Thoughtful and idealistic, these personality types strive to have a positive impact on other people and the world around them. They rarely shy away from an opportunity to do the right thing, even when doing so is far from easy.

Protagonists are born leaders, which explains why these personalities can be found among many notable politicians, coaches, and teachers. Their passion and charisma allow them to inspire others not just in their careers but in every arena of their lives, including their relationships. Few things bring Protagonists a deeper sense of joy and fulfillment than guiding friends and loved ones to grow into their best selves.

When the whole world is silent, even one voice becomes powerful.

MALALA YOUSAFZAI

Speaking Up for What’s Right

Protagonists tend to be vocal about their values, including authenticity and altruism. When something strikes them as unjust or wrong, they speak up. But they rarely come across as brash or pushy, as their sensitivity and insight guide them to speak in ways that resonate with others.

These personality types have an uncanny ability to pick up on people’s underlying motivations and beliefs. At times, they may not even understand how they come to grasp another person’s mind and heart so quickly. These flashes of insight can make Protagonists incredibly persuasive and inspiring communicators.

Changing people’s minds is no easy task – but if anyone can do it, it’s Protagonists.

Protagonists’ secret weapon is their purity of intent. Generally speaking, they are motivated by a sincere wish to do the right thing rather than a desire to manipulate or have power over other people. Even when they disagree with someone, Protagonists search for common ground. The result is that people with this personality type can communicate with an eloquence and sensitivity that are nearly impossible to ignore – particularly when they speak about matters that are close to their hearts.

Getting Involved

When Protagonists care about someone, they want to help solve that person’s problems – sometimes at any cost. The good news is that many people are grateful for Protagonists’ assistance and advice. After all, there’s a reason that these personalities have a reputation for helping others improve their lives.

Protagonists are genuine, caring people who talk the talk and walk the walk. Nothing makes them happier than motivating other people to do what’s right.

But getting involved in other people’s problems isn’t always a recipe for success. Protagonists tend to have a clear vision of what people can or should do in order to better themselves, but not everyone is ready to make those changes. If Protagonists push too hard, their loved ones may feel resentful or unfairly judged. And while this personality type is known for being insightful, even the wisest Protagonists may sometimes misread a situation or unwittingly give bad advice.

Leading the Way

People with this personality type are devoted altruists, ready to face slings and arrows in order to stand up for the people and ideas that they believe in. This strength of conviction bolsters Protagonists’ innate leadership skills, particularly their ability to guide people to work together in service of the greater good.

But their greatest gift might actually be leading by example. In their day-to-day lives, Protagonists reveal how seemingly ordinary situations can be handled with compassion, dedication, and care. For these personalities, even the smallest daily choices and actions – from how they spend their weekend to what they say to a coworker who is struggling – can become an opportunity to lead the way to a brighter future.

Strengths & Weaknesses

Protagonist (ENFJ) Strengths

Receptive – Protagonists have strong opinions, but they’re far from closed-minded. They recognize the importance of allowing others to express themselves fully. Even when Protagonists don’t agree with someone, they recognize that person’s right to voice their truth.

Reliable – Few things bother Protagonists more than the prospect of letting down a person or cause that they believe in. People with this personality type can be counted on to see their promises and responsibilities through – even when it’s difficult to do so.

Passionate – Protagonists are far from being boring do-gooders. These types brim with interests, and they take great pleasure in pursuing their hobbies – whether that’s hiking, cooking, dancing, growing houseplants, or something else entirely. As a result, they rarely find themselves at a loss for something interesting to do.

Altruistic – These personalities are known for harboring a deep desire to be a force for positive change. Protagonists genuinely believe that if they bring people together, they can do a world of good.

Charismatic – Determined and inspiring, Protagonists often find their way into leadership roles. Whether they’re captain of their softball team or a leader on the world stage, they rarely lose sight of their main goal: to be of service to others.

Protagonist (ENFJ) Weaknesses

Unrealistic – Many Protagonists put pressure on themselves to right every wrong that they encounter. But no matter how hard these personalities strive, it just isn’t realistic for them to solve all of the world’s problems. If they aren’t careful, they can spread themselves too thin – and be left unable to help anyone.

Overly Idealistic – Protagonists tend to have clear ideas about what’s right and what’s wrong. They often think that everyone shares these fundamental principles – or, at least, that everyone should share these principles. So it can come as a genuine shock to Protagonists when people violate their core values, such as truth or justice.

Condescending – People with this personality type enjoy teaching others, particularly about the causes and beliefs that matter so much to them. But, at times, Protagonists’ attempts to “enlighten” others may come across as patronizing – not the most effective strategy for persuading other people, unfortunately.

Intense – When it comes to self-improvement, Protagonists are rarely short on energy or determination. But they may not recognize that not everyone shares these qualities. At times, Protagonists may push others to make changes that they aren’t ready for – or simply aren’t interested in making in the first place.

Overly Empathetic – Compassion is among this personality type’s greatest strengths. But Protagonists have a tendency to take on other people’s problems as their own – a habit that can leave them emotionally and physically exhausted.

Romantic Relationships

Protagonists (ENFJs) can be intense when it comes to matters of the heart – and they wouldn’t have it any other way. People with this personality type rarely settle for anything that falls short of their ideals, and their romantic relationships are no exception.

Protagonists want to fall in love with the content of a person’s character and the tenor of their soul – not just the way they look from across the room.

Although these personalities may come across as outgoing or even a bit flirtatious, few Protagonists are satisfied by fleeting attractions. Their standards are high, and they know it. In fact, this awareness might give Protagonists a deeper appreciation of just how rare and precious it is to feel a real spark with another person – and, in turn, just how rare and special it is when that spark grows into the steady flames of true, abiding love.

Moving Beyond the Dating Game

When Protagonists fall for someone, they tend to fall hard – and they’re not coy about it. Protagonists are among the personality types that most readily express how they feel, so they often find themselves making the first move, rather than playing games or waiting for reassurance that the other person feels the same way.

In the dating world, Protagonists’ willingness to put themselves out there can be refreshing and more than a little unusual. This, along with the intensity of their passion, is incredibly appealing to many people. That said, because Protagonists do so often make the first move, they may encounter their share of rejection as they search for a kindred spirit.

People with the Protagonist personality type are eager to prove their commitment, taking the time and effort to establish themselves as dependable, trustworthy partners.

Dreaming Together

Even on the first date, these personalities may steer the conversation toward weightier topics. Protagonists don’t just want to find out what TV shows someone watches – they want to get a sense of their partner’s dreams and aspirations, the changes they hope to make to themselves and to the world. And as the relationship deepens, Protagonists take pride in supporting their partner to make good on these dreams.

For Protagonists, one of life’s greatest joys is helping someone they care about reach their goals.

Some Protagonists carry this a step further, taking on their partner’s goals as their own. This can be problematic, to say the least. If Protagonist personalities become overinvested in helping their partner, they may end up neglecting their own self-care, hobbies, and friendships. They may also be at risk of pushing their partner to change their life in ways that they simply aren’t ready for.

When Protagonists carry this too far, they often find that the pressure they put on their partner to “better” themselves backfires in one of two ways. Their partner may become insecure, fearing that they aren’t good enough as they are, or they may become angry, feeling resentful of the implication that they need to change. Either way, Protagonists must learn to encourage their partner to grow without pushing too hard.

The Long Haul

Few personality types are keener than Protagonists to establish a loving commitment with their chosen partner. They take dating and relationships seriously. Even in the earliest days of a relationship, Protagonists tend to focus on long-term potential, and as the relationship matures, they want to do what it takes to bring that potential to fruition.

While Protagonists certainly know how to enjoy the moment, they also know that love isn’t all fun and games.

This can be a beautiful thing. Protagonists care about pleasing their partner, and their sensitivity helps them tune in to their partner’s shifting moods and desires. As long as they don’t lose track of their own needs, people with this personality type can enjoy incredibly rewarding relationships that are founded on trust, mutual support, and honesty – and, of course, love.

Friendships

Connecting with other people makes Protagonists (ENFJs) feel alive and purposeful. It’s no surprise, then, that they are anything but apathetic about friendship. Protagonists put sincere, dedicated effort into staying close with their friends. For these personalities, friendships are far from expendable or insignificant – instead, they’re a key component of a life well lived.

A Wealth of Perspectives

Few personality types can match Protagonists’ sincere desire to get to know people. For Protagonists, discovering someone’s quirks and opinions and hopes and follies is one of life’s purest pleasures. Most Protagonists can’t help but be fascinated by other worldviews, even those with which they wholeheartedly disagree. Encountering a wealth of perspectives is what keeps life interesting for these types.

Protagonists surround themselves with all sorts of friends and acquaintances, including those whose experiences and ideas differ wildly from their own.

That said, most Protagonists find it difficult to respect anyone who takes shortcuts, disrespects others, or refuses to challenge the status quo. Instead, they find it easiest to connect with people who share their core ideals, particularly their commitment to doing the right thing and leaving the world better than they found it.

It is with these closest friends that Protagonists truly open up, sharing their vulnerabilities and their most precious dreams for their lives. These personalities maintain warm, caring, and supportive connections with many people, but they tend to show their full selves – including their insecurities – only to an inner circle of friends who have earned their trust.

Through Thick and Thin

Protagonists can be among the best friends anyone could wish for. Kindhearted and trustworthy, people with this personality type dedicate incredible amounts of energy and attention to their friendships. They want their friends to feel not merely validated but supported, not merely heard but understood.

From their closest friends to their wide circle of acquaintances, Protagonist personalities approach relationships with a sense of purpose, creating bonds that are not easily broken.

They can also be trusted to show up in ways both large and small – whether by taking time after a grueling day at work to help a friend spruce up their resume or by putting together a weekend-long destination birthday party for a friend who needs a boost. Nothing makes Protagonists happier than seeing the people they care about doing well, and few things could stop them from trying to help make that happen.

Finding Balance

While Protagonists enjoy lending a helping hand, they aren’t always happy with the results. The truth is that some people don’t have the energy or the drive to take full advantage of Protagonists’ offers of help – or they simply might not want to. For example, their friend might ignore that resume advice, or they might decide to kick back and relax instead of using that new resume to send out job applications.

When this happens, people with the Protagonist personality type may feel unappreciated, frustrated, or resentful. They may even become judgmental in an effort to push their friend forward – an approach that all too often backfires.

As they mature, many Protagonists learn to avoid taking their friends’ behavior personally.

Paradoxically, having a more flexible attitude can guide these types to support the people they care about even more effectively. As many Protagonists discover, the most enduring friendships are based not only on mutual growth but also on acceptance, compassion, and genuine respect.

Parenthood:

Protagonist parents see it as their loving duty to help their children realize their unique potential.

These types usually set clear, age-appropriate rules and boundaries, so that their children understand the consequences of behavior that’s irresponsible or unkind. Even when Protagonist parents behave strictly, however, they do so out of love – in an effort to instill in their children strong values and a sense of personal responsibility.

Fortunately, these idealistic, good-natured parents can explain the difference between right and wrong in ways that uplift and inspire their children. And just as importantly, Protagonist personalities teach by example, modeling the kinds of behaviors that they hope their children will emulate.

Great Expectations

Parents with this personality type have high standards for their children. These expectations generally come with the best of intentions – Protagonists simply want to be sure that their children are on a path toward a meaningful, fulfilling life that makes good use of their potential.

Protagonist parents pride themselves on their ability to see what each person brings to the world – a trait that helps them recognize all the ways in which their children are gifted and capable.

At times, however, Protagonists’ expectations may seem overwhelming to their children. Children of Protagonist personalities may sometimes feel that they need to earn their parents’ love by meeting their standards – standards that might seem impossibly difficult to reach. In these situations, Protagonists may need to reassure their children that they are loved for who they are, not what they do.

A Bedrock of Support

Fortunately, Protagonists’ sensitivity helps them appreciate their children’s deeper needs, including the need for acceptance. Even as they urge their children to grow and learn and chase their dreams, parents with this personality type can offer a bedrock of emotional support that stays with their children for all their lives.

Whatever their children need in order to thrive, Protagonist parents dedicate the time and energy necessary to provide it.

As they mature, Protagonists’ children rarely lose sight of the genuine warmth, care, love, and encouragement that they received from their parents. These children tend to grow up with a deep appreciation for lessons that have been woven into the fabric of their character, including honesty, empathy, accountability, and the vital importance of doing the right thing.

Career Paths

When it comes to choosing a career, Protagonists (ENFJs) find fulfillment in doing what they love most – helping other people. And with their creativity and drive, they can find ways to serve and uplift others in nearly any work environment, whether they’re behind a gleaming table in a corporate boardroom or behind the counter at a beloved local coffee shop.

People with the Protagonist personality type rarely want for inspiration or opportunity in their search for meaningful work.

Earning Their Place

Thanks to their emotional intelligence and social skills, Protagonists can excel in nearly any people-oriented field, such as human resources, event management, recruiting, or public relations. That said, they tend to feel especially motivated in positions where they can guide others to learn, grow, and become more independent. Many people with this personality type gravitate toward careers with an altruistic bent, such as social work, teaching, counseling, coaching, health care, or public interest law.

Protagonists prove that a desire to serve others can be more than compatible with big ambitions.

Rather than fading into the background, Protagonists are known for their leadership abilities, and they often find themselves in positions of influence. These personalities can be found in public office and at the helm of all sorts of organizations – from nonprofits and religious groups to scrappy start-ups and corporate empires. They may also find themselves in jobs as consultants, advisors, and managers.

Wherever they work, Protagonists rarely lose sight of their core mission: to improve people’s lives. They intuitively pick up on the needs of their clients or customers, and then they draw on their creativity to meet these needs in innovative, unexpected ways. As a result, these types are able to bring sincerity, integrity, and even idealism to jobs in sales, customer service, marketing, advertising, and product development.

Finding the Deeper Issues

Focused and driven, people with the Protagonist personality type are always up for a good challenge. That said, certain challenges motivate them more than others. Work that is repetitive, isolated, or otherwise constrained can be frustrating for them. Protagonists want to see the impact they’re having, not to plug away at tasks all on their own.

In their heart of hearts, Protagonists want to witness the positive effects of their work – to feel and experience the gratitude and appreciation of the people they’ve helped.

Protagonists feel fulfilled and energized by work that allows them to step back and reflect on the big picture. For these types, leaving a positive legacy is a key priority. This needn’t mean something as grand as solving world hunger (although, knowing Protagonists, it certainly could). But most people with this personality type do use their professional energy to resolve at least some of the deeper issues that their customers or colleagues face.

Versatile and insightful, Protagonists bring a wealth of strengths to their careers. At times, they may feel stuck or bored, wishing that their daily tasks could make more of an obvious difference in the world. But with their altruistic, creative spirits, these personalities almost inevitably find ways to use their work – whatever it might be – to contribute to the greater good.

Workplace Habits

Protagonists (ENFJs) are warm, idealistic, charismatic, creative, and social. With this wind at their backs, these types can thrive in many diverse roles, at any level of seniority. Moreover, they are generally likable and good-natured – qualities that can propel them to success wherever they have a chance to work with others.

Protagonist Subordinates

As employees, Protagonists often push themselves to prove their merit and make a good impression on their managers. Perceptive and dedicated, people with this personality type can take on multiple responsibilities with competence and good cheer.

Protagonists are hardworking, reliable, and eager to help – but these strengths can become a double-edged sword.

Unfortunately, some managers may take advantage of Protagonists’ work ethic by making too many requests or overburdening them with extra work. Although these personalities are more than capable of standing up for themselves, they may still accept all of these additional tasks in order to keep the peace and avoid letting others down.

Protagonist Colleagues

As colleagues, Protagonists stand out for their desire to collaborate. They are always on the lookout for opportunities to create win-win situations and help their coworkers reach their full potential. These personalities foster equitable team environments where everyone – whatever their job title – can feel comfortable expressing their opinions and ideas.

Protagonists’ tolerance and easy sociability makes it easy for them to relate to their colleagues.

That said, Protagonists’ tendency to take charge may sometimes ruffle their coworkers’ feathers. With their strong drive to lead, Protagonists may sometimes be tempted to make decisions or suggest changes that go beyond the scope of their authority – leading their colleagues to ask, “Hang on, who put you in charge?”

Protagonist Managers

Many Protagonists feel called to roles as managers and leaders. With their charisma, their insight, and their inspiring way of expressing themselves, people with this personality type often shine when given the opportunity to lead a team – and they make sure that their team shines as well.

As managers, Protagonists make the people who work for them feel not just motivated but also inspired.

These types tend to see each member of their team as a person with important gifts and unique potential. As a result, working for a Protagonist can feel meaningful and exhilarating – it’s a chance to develop as a person as well as an employee.

That said, Protagonists’ idealism may prevent them from recognizing the real limitations of their employees. At times, managers with this personality type may give team members assignments that they simply aren’t ready for – an approach that all too often backfires. Fortunately, Protagonists can use their emotional intelligence and personal judgment to find a balance between encouraging their employees to grow and pushing them too far.

Assertive Protagonist (ENFJ-A) vs. Turbulent Protagonist (ENFJ-T)

Sometimes the core personality traits help a type mimic what it means to be Assertive or Turbulent, even when they don’t possess those specific qualities. This imitation can mute their Identity differences. Turbulent Protagonists’ outgoing nature can prompt them to act more boldly than the typical Turbulent personality type. Their Judging trait helps them value and seek predictability – which, in turn, provides them with confidence as they seek a sure thing. As a result, Turbulent Protagonists may not always come across as being as Turbulent as other Turbulent types.

However, this doesn’t mean that pronounced differences don’t exist between Assertive Protagonists (ENFJ-A) and Turbulent Protagonists (ENFJ-T). These personalities still approach the world in the following different ways.

Sense of Self

81% of Assertive Protagonists say their self-confidence is high or very high, compared to 39% of Turbulent Protagonists.

“SELF-CONFIDENCE” SURVEY

As would be expected, Assertive Protagonists view themselves with more self-confidence, while Turbulent Protagonists tend to see themselves with less. However, as Protagonists are charismatic and natural leaders, this Turbulent tendency may not always be evident on the surface. This self-assessment can help keep Turbulent Protagonists humbler in their leadership. When Protagonists take their crusades and sense of righteousness too far, they can sometimes be overbearing. Turbulent Protagonists’ humility may help them remain more immune to such excesses than their Assertive counterparts.

The Turbulent lack of confidence might also heighten the oversensitivity that this personality type sometimes indulges in, while Assertive Protagonists may restrain to a higher degree their tendency to take things personally. If they discover that they aren’t living up to their ideals, Assertive Protagonists may be able to hold their self-esteem more intact. This ability can be useful for moving an agenda forward instead of worrying about their capabilities.

55% of Assertive Protagonists describe their level of anxiety about their body image as minimal, compared to 24% of Turbulent Protagonists.

“BODY IMAGE” SURVEY

Ideally, how one looks is unimportant. Body image may seem superficial. But to a personality type like Protagonists, who are likely more “public” in some sense of the word, it can be impactful. As a reflection of Turbulent Protagonists’ lesser confidence, they may act with even less certainty if they’re not comfortable in their own skin. This greater self-consciousness may apply to many areas of their lives – but it may also help them relate to many other people with similar “less than” feelings. Assertive Protagonists may not be able to muster quite the same degree of empathy.

Protagonist Differences in Emotions, Behaviors, and the People in Their Lives

74% of Turbulent Protagonists say they often – or very often – feel sad, compared to 37% of Assertive Protagonists.

“SADNESS” SURVEY

Broader emotions guide both Assertive and Turbulent Protagonists when they make decisions, but that doesn’t necessarily tell us how these personalities handle transient emotional states. Both types of Protagonists tend to adopt the problems of others as their own. Being prone to experiencing their emotions more often might increase this tendency in Turbulent Protagonists. Sharing others’ emotions can increase Turbulent Protagonists’ level of compassion. But, if taken too far, it can also weigh them down.

85% of Assertive Protagonists feel like they have control over their emotions, compared to 50% of Turbulent Protagonists.

“EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE” SURVEY

Their confidence may have Assertive Protagonists believing that they are unlikely to be hurt – or that if they were hurt, the pain would be manageable. This sense of greater invulnerability may create a protective shell around Assertive Protagonists’ feelings, and such armor may allow them more detachment when needed. They likely deal with people more calmly. This more relaxed approach can be especially helpful in upsetting situations that can benefit from the presence of cooler heads.

However, to avoid extremes, it’s important to note that half of Turbulent Protagonists also feel like they have control over their emotions. Both personalities might readily possess this quality, but it’s more likely to be found in Assertive Protagonists.

90% of Assertive Protagonists feel like they effectively manage the stress in their lives, compared to 45% of Turbulent Protagonists.

“HANDLING STRESS” SURVEY

The stressors that one type of Protagonist encounters are not necessarily more or less than the other one faces. The amount would depend on the nature of the individual Protagonist’s life. However, Assertive Protagonists are about twice as likely to say they manage stress well. These personalities probably expect tension to be a part of life and view it as natural and something to enthusiastically overcome. They may even inspire others of all personality types to join them in a quest to claim victory over such difficulties.

Turbulent Protagonists are apt to pair their somewhat more emotional nature with the demanding situations they face. Such reactions may dampen their attempt at handling stressful situations with a cool head. The combination may leave them feeling overwhelmed and out of control. These personalities are also more likely to show an understanding of those in similar plights. This empathy can bring them closer to those who need kindness rather than inspiration.

62% of Assertive Protagonists find it easy to make an important decision without consulting anyone first, compared to 33% of Turbulent Protagonists.

“RELYING ON OTHERS” SURVEY

Assertive Protagonists tend to act more independently than their Turbulent counterparts. Many feel they don’t need the counsel of others when making important decisions. This allows them to do what they need to without the baggage that can come with including others in decision-making. That doesn’t mean that they’re loners by any definition. They remain Extraverts bolstered by the Feeling personality trait, so there are likely plenty of people around. But Assertive Protagonists may often display their prominent independent streak.

Thanks to their outgoing nature, most Turbulent Protagonists are more apt to seek the counsel of others in the decision-making process. They may not feel comfortable choosing an action without external input, due to their somewhat lower sense of confidence. Trusted advice can be reassuring – or it can talk Turbulent Protagonists out of making serious errors. Either way, there are likely to be more quality exchanges between these Protagonists and the people in their lives.

Summary

Assertive and Turbulent Protagonist personality differences include:

Assertive Protagonists are more confident, allowing them to move boldly and independently, while Turbulent Protagonists can be more sensitive to the problems of others.

Turbulent Protagonists are more likely than Assertive Protagonists to be self-conscious.

Assertive Protagonists are more comfortable dealing with emotions and stress, while Turbulent Protagonists are less so. However, this can help Turbulent Protagonists empathize more deeply with others who are having trouble dealing with similar things.

Assertive Protagonists are likely to be more independent and less inclined to seek the advice of others. Turbulent Protagonists are more likely to ask for an opinion and have more robust exchanges with the people in their lives.

Altruism Can Be Expressed in Many Ways

Assertive Protagonists are likely to be a pinch more objective and less influenced by emotions. But they still decide matters through a broader, more consistent emotional filter, as all Feeling personality types do. Turbulent Protagonists are likely to be a little more reactive and emotions-based. Identity is about shading shared traits with a different tint within the same fundamental hue. Both Assertive and Turbulent personalities remain kind and inspirational Protagonists – just in their distinctly different ways.

10 Steps To earn well As A Digital Coach Within 6 Months - Siddharth Rajsekar

It is so so important getting the Validation Phase right- where we need to:

a. Understand and overcome the rejections,

b. Cracking the code,

c. Working on your self by shifting your energy and

d. Working on the offer

e. Win the hearts of the audience through authenticity, transparency and mission

How do we do this?

There are going to be rejections. Work on your energy and your offer. This is a phase when you have to win the hearts of your audience through your authenticity, transparency and true mission you are on.

People buy you and not your product. So, don’t sell product, sell memberships. It is all about communities.

CONCEPTS:

1. Take a 90 days challenge to release You tube video content.

2. Join various groups on Facebook and Linked in. Start connecting with people by meaningful engagement through comments on really genuine posts you connect with.

3. Emotional connection by appreciating their comments with 20 to 30 people a day. Over a span of 20 to 30 days, they will start following you.

4. Message on private window just to connect and open up by asking open ended questions without any agenda to sell.

5. Conduct one free webinar per week not for sales but only to satisfy their doubts and add value for 3 months.

6. Perform atleast 20 to 30 one on one calls for free.

7. Start developing your private Facebook group by engaging them through polls , webinars and one to one. If you nurture them well, their will 20 to 30 percent conversion.

8. A sales webinar once a week and a clarity webinar with no sales for nurturing once a week will be useful in the long run.

9. Run a Google form asking them why they didn’t buy the product. You will understand their resistances and you will be able to improve your offer.

10. If you can focus on having 60 sales in 6 months, it will be Rs. 3 lacs without spending a penny on ads. Give yourself 6 months to nurture your community, work on yourself and believe in yourself.

11. Surround yourself with action takers. Proximity is Power.

A Noun or a Verb - who are you?

“We are not nouns, we are verbs. I am not a thing - an actor, a writer - I am a person who does things - I write, I act - and I never know what I'm going to do next. I think you can be imprisoned if you think of yourself as a noun.”

― Stephen Fry

Oscar Wilde said that if you know what you want to be, then you inevitably become it. That is your punishment. But if you never know, then you can be anything. There is a truth to that. We are not nouns, we are verbs. I am not a thing — an actor, a writer — I am a person who does things — I write, I act — and I never know what I am going to do next. I think you can be imprisoned if you think of yourself as a noun.

~ Stephen Fry

The exact Wilde quote to which Fry was referring is this –

If you want to be a grocer, or a general, or a politician, or a judge, you will invariably become it; that is your punishment. If you never know what you want to be, if you live what some might call the dynamic life — but what I will call the artistic life — if each day you are unsure of who you are and what you know you will never become anything, and that is your reward.”

~ Oscar Wilde

A little English brush up here – ‘Noun’ is a word that names something: either a person, place, or thing. ‘Verb’ is a word that shows an action (sing), occurrence (develop), or state of being (exist).

And then this is what I read of Osho –

Life is a verb. Life is not a noun, it is really “living” not “life.” It is not love, it is loving. It is not relationship, it is relating. It is not a song, it is singing. It is not a dance, it is dancing. See the difference, savor the difference.

Why then do we force or shape our children to be Nouns?

The foundation of Happiness and Success - Sawan Kapoor

·       I understand that when ego comes, everything else goes…and when ego goes, everything else comes.

Healthy ego is one that recognise the need of the hour,  light in others.

·       I understand that in the sway of emotion, intelligence does not work; hence I will abstain from action and decision-making in an emotional state ….for which I need to actively develop a calmness through introspection

Think of the typewriter ribbion – continuum of thought in your mind – purpose of meditation is to cut that ribbion. – To become thoughtless. Look inwards.

·       I understand that it is not what I feel within, but the expression of my thoughts and feelings, that makes a difference in relationship.

Want to lose weight, don’t have gulabjamun or chola batura.

·       I understand that people relate with me much more for what they can be with me, than what I am with them.

Company hires me for their need, not our need. Ego is the eye to you. You have to win from it

·       I will take the U turns in my life, for I understand that ‘whose life’ matters much more than ‘whose mistake’.

People because of their Ego, blames other. That person is not a good leader. Nothing is in whose mistake it is, always have the ability to take ‘U’ turn.

·       I understand that Gratitude and Disturbance cannot co-exist.

Mind float like a dove, action like breaking a road. Mind breaking a road, action like you are a dove. Mind can only be in one state of energy at one time.

It's your choice. Two wolves - good and bad - what will I become? The one I feed. Make a list of all things you are grateful for.

·       I will drop hurt by forgiving others, and I will drop guilt by forgiving myself.

If you keep carrying all the guilt,  - express, how sorry, stupid and wrong you are – the person might yell for an hour ; but if your sincerely express form heart – It takes lot of courage to do it. But that sitting you is like a poison.

·       I will find the elusive balance between being a choice maker and a consequence receiver

There are things that will happen to your life, where it is okay to accept – it is not a big deal, if you put up – food to eat; there are places, where I have to be a choice maker.  You have to understand the balance between these two.

·       I understand that neither all my expectation will be fulfilled, nor all my expectations will remain unfulfilled, for in the end I know that life is just a game.

Focus need to be in the process. Find the lock, for which you are the key.

·       I, as the enlivening force for the various roles of my life, I will focus more on what I can give than what I can receive.

To be a leader, it is about giving. Don’t worry about what you get. Be happy and get a peaceful sleep.

·       I understand that my life is my responsibility, and blaming is not allowed.

·       I further understand that my life is not shaped by the consequences of events, but my counter -choices to those consequences.

Best time to plant a tree is now, if you planted 20 years before it would be giving fruits but that cannot be done now.  Whatever you do, you will become good at it – good or bad.

·       I understand that attituded do not care where I shape them, but once shaped they become my behaviour either creating me or destroying me.

If nipped in the bud, it would have been easier, keeping it for long, it will become a dynamite. Take action.

·       I understand that the beliefs I hold at the beginning of the journey, define the journey.

Surrender – is number one factor for success.

·       I understand desires become deservingness only through consistent, directed, self-motivated, intelligent effort.

Dream without a plan is dream, you have to be your own gene in your life.

I will begin from where I can begin, for I understand , small beginnings with incremental improvement and sustained progress will lead to humongous possibilities.

I will practice dynamic acceptance – by accepting the unchangeable, changing the changeable and removing myself from the unacceptable.

·       I can change myself if and only if I change what goes into my mind.

Pick story that empowers you. Thank that person whom you don’t like in your life. They came to your life, for you to become a leader.

·       I understand to live life in totality is to live every moment of my life intensely, and enthusiastically.

Now is called present, because it is a gift - Kunfu panda - first part.

·       I understand that growth needs transformation, transformation needs change, change needs transition, and transitions are never comfortable.

Whatever (Joy, anger, worry) you practice  you will get very good at it. – What you practice in your life? – Gratitude is a gateway drug to happiness.

Good ego, recognises other peoples importance, and know their place in the worlt. Your respect comes only when you give respect. A healthy ego understands that.

Drive CAR - To Transform : Gaur Gopal Das

What is the relevance of religion in the contemporary world - particularly in Pursuit of Happiness.

There is collective responsibility and there is individual responsibility as well.

There is one CAR is we must all drive - This is an acronym:

C - Change what you can. There are things you cannot change.

A - Accept what you cannot change. Don't loose time and mental energy.

R - Remove yourself from a situation which you cannot accept. There are situations where you cannot remove yourself. You are stuck.

-----------

R - Rise bout what you cannot accept or change. New York - Humongous building. Next day in flight, building was still huge, but seemed insignificant, not because it had changed, but in flight, you rise above.

We find ourselves in situation, about which we cannot do anything, then what we can do is Rise.

Religion and Faith has boundaries. Spirituality is beyond boundaries. Let's be spiritual beyond boundaries of religion and faith.

Have Nattukar, Veetukar.

Conscious Mind: Awareness & Attention

Audit every area of your life– it’s the first step towards awareness.

So by ‘audit’ I mean literally go through every area of your life (career, relationships, health etc) and see what’s bringing you positive as opposed to negative emotions, peace vs. chaos, fulfilment vs. stress.

What this will help you to do is gain clarity on how you can restructure and rewire these micro aspects of your life that will help you minimise the negative and maximise the positive.

To welcome change/anything good in your life, you have to begin from a point of awareness of where exactly change is needed!

Food for thought– audit!

Understand where you are.

Decide where you want to go.

Once you are aware, pay attention. Paying Attention is focusing on the areas that you think needs improvement.

Be Conscious.

Conscious Mind - Attention (Focus) + Awareness (Audit/Processed in the background)

Mindfulness - Is the optimal relationship between attention and awareness. The point where both meet.

Involve all senses and be mindful.

Focus on Focus. When the two are balanced, mind becomes relaxed.

For this understand our breath first, observe the pattern.

When walking walk,

When standing stand,

When sitting sit,

Why lying down, lye down.

Be Present in the present.

Be Aware.

How is your wrist watch, things around you.

Practise box breathing - inhale - pause - exhale - pause. (4,8,7,8)

Our choices keep changing as we grow. Inspired by people around, places and time (PPT: Place, people,Time)

One change, there is a change in our perception.

Every head has its own headache.

Every one's sky is different.

Don't say - don't like or not good, say like less. It's your preferences.

Jab we met - 'Aree jala do sali ko yaar' - Anxiety in, Anxiety out.

Take a paper - write -ves , scribble all negative emotions, destroy.

We cannot control our emotions but we can control our response.

E+R=O

Event + Response = Outcome

Willow Tree - Susan Lordi

 https://www.willowtree.com/

Almost 15+ years, since I fell in love with them. A Willow Tree for every age… a Willow Tree for every stage…

Willow Tree® is an intimate line of figurative sculptures that speak in quiet ways to heal, comfort, protect and inspire. Artist Susan Lordi hand carves the original of each figure from her studio in Kansas City Missouri. Pieces are cast from her original carvings, and individually painted by hand. Expression is revealed through gestures only… a tilt of the head, placement of the hands, a turn of the body. The simplicity of form and absence of facial features signify Willow Tree. It is Susan's hope that these pieces be meaningful to both giver and receiver.

My sister, my friend Walk with me. And along the way, we'll share... everything

“A sister can save your life. A safety net. You never laugh harder than when you’re laughing with your sisters... or very close dear friends. You share the same history; the inside jokes that no one else would understand in the same way. A sister knows your faults and somehow puts up with them, and loves you in spite of them.“I have two sisters – one nearby and one farther away. When I’m with either one, or both, the walks we take and the talks we have are like one long ongoing conversation... we cover all subjects about anything and everything. By my side, my sisters are with me, in the present moment. This piece is about the rich and sustaining, comfortable constancy of lifelong friends.” —Susan Lordi

For my Redwood sisters - By my side From each other, over the years, we gather strength, through laughter and tears.

"I have two sisters—as far back as I can remember, the three of us have always been very connected. Even if they are far away, I feel like they're always right here, by my side. It's the little, fun, silly moments—thousands of them—that fill me up when I'm with my female friends, be they sisters, girlfriends, cousins... Shared experiences and laughter form a lifelong reservoir of trust that allows us to be vulnerable around each other. And out of vulnerability comes strength. I know I can count on my sisters and girlfriends whenever I need support... or a good dose of humor."

For my mother: Close to me - Apart or together, always close to me

A mother/daughter figure that expresses the connection, yet freedom, which exists in the best of relationships, near or far.regardless of whether we’re apart or together, she’s always close to me.The sentiment applies to any age… a child going away.

Together - For those who have found their true partner in love and life - You and me every day building on our love

A romantic figure of two people, much in love, who have found their true partner in life. Their stance and embrace depict a couple, moving forward together, in harmony and unity. Love ever endures.

Me - Butterfly - Resilient, determined, courageous and beautiful...

You have the qualities to transform your world. "When I think of the monarch butterfly, I am reminded of courage and strength in the face of adversity. A magical metamorphosis...from tiny egg to hungry caterpillar to brilliant chrysalis spotted with gold, the butterfly finally emerges a dazzling beauty. Delicate and fragile, yet determined and resilient, it forges its way for hundreds of miles along a migration route of obstacles and erratic weather patterns, compelled to complete its miraculous journey. I see the monarch butterfly as a true metaphor — for the desire in each of us to be our best, to live resiliently, to thrive, to make a positive difference in the world."

Dad - My Girls : Looking at you, I see wonder, joy, strength

Father and child figurines are reminders of important milestones in every father's life. The girls look to his strength and stability, and he looks to them as his greatest source of joy. I think the beauty of a good father/daughter relationship is in its duality.

Mom And Daughters:Comfort

"It’s the comfort you feel when you’re surrounded by those you trust and love—like with your sisters, or a mother and daughters, or very close cousins, or even best friends—the ones you can literally ‘let your hair down’ with. You don’t have to fill the spaces or explain yourself. You can just be together, and that, in and of itself, is healing. “Our healing touch is all about the hair. Hair is a symbol of our identity—who we are, how we see ourselves. Our hair differentiates us, but also connects us. Isn’t the first way we ‘date’ a photograph by the hairstyle? Hair is tactile, sensuous, and the touching and stroking of it can be comforting and healing. These women are connecting with each other in a quiet moment, attuned to each other, in harmony.”

Family: And this is how it all began? - Well not exactly:

Discovering the 3 secrets.

  • Income
  • Freedom
  • Impact

Free gift

  • Interview questions
  • Tackling work place politics
Secret One:

Every company, industry, business function, level of experience has:

  • Unique NEEDS - New Emergencies & Existing difficulties to be solved - ordinary which will be in JD, and extraordinary needs go beyond the JD.
  • STEEKO - Skills, Talents, Education, Experience, Knowledges & Qualities
  • WANTS - What aspects are needed to be successful - soft cultural factors

Looking at workplace - ENTHUSIASM

Without enthusiasm it is
  • impossible to do meaningful work.
  • impossible to develop commitment
  • Achieve excellence in anything

We are unique individuals, so the culture we need would also be different:

Top 8 Expectations (WANT) - This is for one person, for you it would be different - Find what is yours:

  1. Enthusiastic Environment
  2. Differentiated platform
  3. Sense of Ownership - Power to take decision and accountable for it (We can't hit sixer in every ball)- Experience come from bad decisions
  4. Regular access to CEO
  5. Cross Functional work
  6. Project Based work
  7. S.M.E/Family Business
  8. Building a Team
Ability to get great work from other people is the defining work of leadership. Train, grow and maintain the team. Lot of professionals in India keep living in the bubble, that it is the next certification that will improve their career. There is a value for education, but after a certain point, two factors help your growth are:
  • Ability to lead - get great work from others
  • What core responsibility of yours have greatest impact on the financial statement of the company.
Super premium jobs are rare. Like Diamonds, there are many, but one is the rarest.

Red Diamond.

Dream jobs are rare, because we do not know where to look for it, and we do not have the tools to dig it out.

It is the centre of ones NEEDS, STEEKO and WANTS

Achieving this alignment is not easy.

Our thoughts and actions have to be same, and it should be same - Congruent.

Truth Bomb: Your career is like a mirror . Mirror can only show who you are.

  • Actions you take will build your reality. You attract the type of opportunity you are.
  • If you are not good at what you do, no body can help you. This is not a get-rich program - need to put in blood , sweat and tears. It will take hard work.
  • It cannot come from Fake expertiese. It need strong legs.
  • Your STEEKQ must solve major problems
2nd Secret - Understanding the SPT Model

Concept of red diamond. Make it your reality.

SPD Model:

Suspects - Prospects - Target

Suspect - Match between our STEEKQ and their needs. Research these companies. Hard research it becomes
Prospects - Soft data Research - Look at WANTS - Culture - These companies became
Target - That is the centre of the three

Broad to narrow approach.

How do we conduct these research?

Hard Data public domain research for:
  • Financial - Numbers don't lie.
  • Industry - fit within the industry
  • Credit Agency - SIBIL individual score - creditworthiness to banking system, CRISIL for business
  • market -
  • Competitive
Soft Data research - behind the screen:

  • Team member assessment
  • Decision maker identification
  • Employee opinion
  • Management Style
  • Leadership biographies
Job on paper can be very different from a job in reality. As a job seeker you put forward your best foot. Similarly a company is also putting their best foot forward.  Should satisfy the 8 cultural wants, if you don't agree and want to follow the leader, you will not make a good team member.

This is how we take the prospect company to Target company.

Fast and Easy way - find your Suspects - prospects - Targets.

Daymon Worldwide - hired Sawan Kapoor

Principle of Dynamic acceptance: Three options: - In life
  • Accept - Denial - Accept what you cannot change,
  • Speak - Rebel - Change what can be changed
  • Search - Smart - Remove yourself from unacceptable
When you change job, jump in salary is higher. Is it a sustainable way to increase your salary? - No.

Moved from Daymon to Total Wine.

Experience : You're Fired. Brave face inside, but inside shaken.

You don't know how to react. It will take 2-3 days for the emotions to settle down.

Without cultural alignment, the time of A-Player is wasted.

Or leave the country in one month. Felt no job.

Used SPT model. - 4 Target company. - Hard Data and soft data - NS Score (Impact) I - Needs to Steeko (Hard data research) ; Culture - Wants (8 factors);

We can quantify and find the right company.

Where there are people there will be politics.

People say - Money is not everything. True it cannot by happiness, relationship, health, time. But honest truth is we should not say this until we are millionaires. It is philosophical. Money can buy great health insurance, it can help produce things you want. Got into Palm Bay (Sutton & Maxwell)

Your Past Salary is not related to future potential - These are limitations created in your mind. Learning from SPT model.

HR will ask for current salary/last CTC, all over the world.

Early under-achiever become CEO by 30. Walked every inch of the journey.

Understand problems, politics. Nobody will come and gift this to you.

Boss appreciating and gifting in front of family -  give respect, and people will do anything for you.

First we need to give. Only then we can get back.

The dots will only connect, when we look back.

There is a science to building your career.

2 reasons why you are settling or compromising on your career - limiting beliefs, that's only in your head:
  1. You believe your expertise is not worth a larger pay cheque
  2. You think t is worth it but by increasing your expectations, you will be priced out of the market
Break them, understanding the psychology.

Initiative is very important, but more important is Finitiative is even more important.

Psychology to break the limiting beliefs:

You don't get paid for this alone,

  • Time
  • Knowledge
  • Personality

what you are paid for in relaity is : 'Value of the results that you deliver. '

Most difficult thing for an employer or a business owner is to develop great people and then to be able to hold onto them.

It doesn't matter which department you are in, you should be able to hit your outcomes. We need people to help us solve our problems.

If a business or an employer is sitting across from the table from someone who can solve their N.E.E.D.S , there is no way they are going to let them get away.

Living a Blind Life. - You know what the right thing to do is, but is unable to do it. Because of beatings in life.

Three circles -
  • Inner - Identity
  • Second is Processes
  • Third or outer circle is Outcomes.
Identity -) Process -) Outcome

  • Outcome = What you get
  • Process = What you do
  • Identity = What you Believe
True behaviour change, is the ability to change your identity, and this is a simple two step process.

  • Decide the type of person you want to be - Regret of the past, and anxiety of the future -
  • Prove to yourself with small wins.
People prefer the certainty of misery to the misery of uncertainty.

Failure is not the opposite of success, but what gives success it's meaning. There is a strategic value to failure, there should be no negative resistance to failure.

You must overcome resistance to win in your life.
  • Invisible and internal enemy is the dangerous. You cannot have a dialogue with your resistance.
  • Unreasonable and Hierarchical -
  • Impersonal & Strategical
Procrastination is a clear sign, that you are operating from negative resistance. You need to know where it is coming from.  It has complete access to your brain.  It knows what to do to break what you need to do.

Accelerating your career is in your hand. Don't compromise on your career or money. Look for your red diamond.

Myth: A high Salary will price you out of the market - A high salary reassures an employee that you are the best of the best. It is a direct representation of your worth.

  • We only get what we pay for. We cannot get Ferrari for the price of a Fiat.  Consider your self to be a Ferrari, don't be stuck in the life of a Fiat.
  • People who are paid more get's better result. People who get paid more produce better results. It is easier to fix your own life on a premium salary.
When there are problems at the senior level - it will trickle down to all levels.
