Neesham and N Guptil from NZ took over. And here to there was a tie, with Guptil being run out on the last ball!! England became champions based on number of boundaries. England scored 26 boundaries in total in the entire duration of the match as compared to 17 by the Black Caps and were thus crowned as champions. Indeed hard luck for New Zealand.
