Self Care while working from Home or otherwise will basically involve:

- Effective coping mechanisam
- Inducing long lasting change

When you are under stress - you tend to?
Techniques to Destress are:Burnout -
You start feeling every day is a bad day, caring about your work or home life seems like a total waste of energy, you're exhausted all the times, majority of the day is spend on tasks you find useless.
It could be because of Work related stress or otherwise. WHO says its a - "Occupational Phenomenon" - Its like a wave - it comes and goes.
What causes Burnout? Work; Lifestyle and/or Personality.
Signs of Symptoms of burnout are:
What we forget during this time is to be compassionate towards oneself. Take care of yourself. Draw boundries with those not contributing.
Reflection activity for self:
1) Think about a time when a close friend of yours is struggling and is comming to you and saying I feel like I have no meaning to this life, I feel worthless - how would you respond to your friend when your are doing pretty good.
2) Think of a time when you were struggling, how did you respond to yourself?
Notice tone you were talking to yourself during that time.
Mostly when we go through tough times, we become critical of ourselves.
This is because we were thought to be compassionate to others, but not to ourselves.
Remember this activity and be compassionate.
Its important to Destress self and others. There are few techniques. Don't feel ashamed to ask for help.
Develop your own self care/help techniques: Self-Kindness, Humanity and Mindfulness:
1) Recall a situation when we were stressed, write down the situation; explore the comforting/soothing/validating aspect and the Protecting/providing/motivating aspect of the situation. Nurture both these aspects.
a) Comforting - One thing to do to take care of emotional needs -
b) soothing - One thing you can do to make your self physically carmer and more at ease -
c) Validating - One thing that you can say to yourself to validate your feelings -
i) Protecting - One thing you can do to stop the harm you are inflicting on yourself -
ii) Providing - One thing you can do to give yourself what you need - time/space/break/workout/hug/listen?
iii) Motivating - how can you motivate yourself with the kindness/support and understanding and not criticising.
All of us have our Ings and Yangs. All of us want to have the validating statement and what we need to actually do.
These are the words - make use of these words to take care of yourself.
