Pancha Bhoota Sthalam refers to five temples dedicated to Shiva, each representing a manifestation of the five prime elements of nature: earth, water, fire, air, and space. Pancha indicates "five," Bhoota means "elements," and Sthala means "place." The temples are located in South India, four in Tamil Nadu and one in Andhra Pradesh. The five elements are believed to be enshrined in the five lingams of the temples, with each lingam named based on the element represented.

Thanks to car drive by Sajeev. Our trip started from Kochi on 26th morning in Fiat Lines at 4.30 am to Thirupathi. Chennai roads were amazing. Stayed at Keys hotel and went to Devi temple that evening. Early next morning left to foothills and went up climbing. Interesting walk and beautiful view. Told Amma temples are kept in beautiful locations as only then some would visit. Being holiday, it was very crowded. So could walk around and see places and have annadanam untill our alloted time. Place was well maintained with rest rooms and dustbin's all around. Returned down in bus and by the time we reached it was almost 12 am.
28th morning had breakfast and went to Kalahasthi another Shiva temple on the banks of a river. But the highlight here was the Ganapathi temple below. From there another long drive to Kanchipuram. Kanchikamakshi temple was mesmerising.
29th morning visited Eakambareswarar temple my second visit and few temples nearby before beginning the drive to Thiruvanamallai all excited to do Girivallam. But the temple was so huge and crowded with festival and given that Neil was tired had to drop the plan.
On 30th began our return journey home. Though we could not have our special Briyani had delicious breakfast from Adayar Anand Bhavan during both the leg of the journey.
A family time to begin the year seeking blessings from almighty; soon after a day trip to Maniratnam's favourite spot Athirapilly clubbed with Tumboormuzhi and Peringalkootu - The officers bungalow was a first visit with colleagues from first office - George & Paulson. Highlight of the trip was visiting Litty's house.
Indeed practise makes man perfect. This time around it was easier to climb:
1) Malayatoor Mala - Amazing year end experience with Tara; Sajeev and Neil
2) Athirapilly- Could do it just like that - Though had done it many times before;was first experience to Peringalkuthu Dam. View from IG' s quarter was mesmerising. Great to have the reunion with G&P colleague from where I had my entry into working world.
3) From Thirupati to Thirumala via Alipiri...amazing walk.
4) Missed Arunachala Girivalam though the temple was spectacular.
