What to do then?

Instead of assigning vague deadlines like “ASAP” or “by the end of the day”…

Start setting specific timelines for each task based on its complexity and priority.

For example:

Task: Finalize client report

Old deadline: ASAP

New deadline: “2 hours” for first review, “30 minutes” for feedback, and “1 hour” for final draft.

See the difference?

Once your team has clear timelines to work with, they’ll stop missing deadlines and start delivering quality work on time.
