A relation - Incredible or Peculiar so to say.. December & January

Sentiments true for human too, Anupam Kher shares beautiful poem describing 'The Relationship' between 'December & January'.

Kher begins the video by saying, "Unfortunately I don't know the writer's name" and goes on to narrate the Hindi poem. He further explains why this poem is special and says, 'These two months are recreated as two individuals, two entities, two different personalities and yet complementing each other.' The video is also amazingly taken with captivating scenery; the link to it is below:

Is'nt it extraordinary, The relationship between December and January,
Just like old memories and new promises,
Both are very sensitive,
Both have depth, both indicate time,
Both have their flaws, Both have the same face and colour,
The same number of days, And are just as cold!
But each has unique identity, A unique style, And behave uniquely,
One symbolizes the end, The other ushers a new beginning,
Just like how day comes after night,
and how night follows the day,
One is filled with memories, The other gives hope,
One has experience the other has faith,
Both are just as connected, As two ends of a thread,
But even though poles apart, they stand by each other,
What December leaves behind, January accepts as it's own,
And the promises made by January, December makes them come true,
How does the journey from January to December, Take a whole eleven months,
But from December you reach January in a blink of eye.
When they grow apart, Situations change,
But when they come close, The year changes,
While they are merely two months in a year,
They bear the responsibility of gathering all that is scattered,
Both together, binds all the other months,
But when separated, is a world wide festival.

Just a change in year - Job, Wife, boss, and all other things remain the same -

One symbolizes the end, the other the beginning - In fact they are just symbolic - The journey continues...

Then why do we celebrate?

A moment to look back with gratitude, and look forward with hope.

Am reminded of the drawings in school - Saying Good Bye to the passed year, and welcoming the New One - Ring out wild bells.
