Covid -19

A completely game changing event in the history of world is here. Corona Virus Disease 2019. A friend's son wrote this:

We are forced to reset priorities, there would be a dramatic impact on the global economy and consumption pattern, on society and GDP. It has different level of impact in different countries and market, every market business will inevitably be impacted in a major way.

Key priorities are Human welfare - physical and mental health. Manage cost aggressively, preserve cash. We need to step up to the new realities, maintain intensity with society, be understanding, manage the cost base, think out of box. Every one has the same problem - keeping harmony and all at home engaged. Its a way of nature telling us to slow down and enjoy the little things; but we have come so far that we can't even if forced to. Social distancing, teaching us how important it is, to be with home and family; and where we belong to and need to be.

Be Positive.

The repercussion of human nature is here for all to see now; We are fighting an invisible enemy .Hope we humans realise that mother nature provides for all our needs but not our greeds. Sad to see some still fighting over political and other superiority, rather than working together for betterment of humanity. As I wind up this day a gentle reminder :
Corona itself is telling us to take precautions -
C - Clean your hands
O - Off from gathering
R - Raise your immunity
O - Offer hand wash to poor people
N - No to handshake
A - Avoid rumors

Contagious as it is #Corona does not have high mortality. It can be recovered from in most healthy people. Despair will trigger worse responses than the virus. Take necessary precautions.

Stay Safe dears.

The four stages of the novel coronavirus:

Stage 1: When cases are only imported from affected countries and therefore only those who have travelled abroad test positive. At this stage there is no spread of the disease locally.

Stage 2: When there is local transmission from infected persons. This will usually be relatives or acquaintances of those who travelled abroad who test positive after close contact with the infected person.

At this stage, fewer people are affected, the source of the virus is known and is therefore easier to perform contact tracing and contain the spread via self-quarantining. Countries like India are currently in Stage 2.

Stage 3: This is the stage of community transmission. In this stage those who have not been exposed to an infected person or anyone who has a travel history to affected countries, still test positive. In other words, people are unable to identify where they might have picked up the virus from. Countries like Singapore, Italy and Spain are currently in Stage 3.

Stage 4: This is the worst stage of the infection where it takes on the form of an epidemic. Massive numbers are infected and it is very difficult to control and contain the spread. This is what China dealt with.

Also the spread increases as weeks go by; We are on the crucial 4th week... Be safe and #Break_the_Chain.

PM Modi has appealed to the nation to stay indoors except essential public workers. Modi calls on people:
*Not to crowd hospitals unless needed
*Not to cut wages of workers who depend on them
*Not to go out during festivals
*Not to get into Panic buying mode and create shortage of essential commodities.
*To call 10 people each and tell them about the janata curfew
*To show gratitude to those working through #Corona- doctors & health workers, airline staff, home delivery workers, media at 5 pm on Sunday 22nd March
*To practice social distancing as much as possible - Avoid getting out of house as much as possible, during the next few weeks

"For last 2 months, millions are working day&night in hospitals&airports&those serving others by not taking care of themselves. On Mar22,at 5'o clock,we should stand on our doorways, balconies,in our windows&keep clapping hands&ringing the bells for 5 mins to salute&encourage them. The least we should do - for those working hard, and for those going through the pain. PM has declared Janta Curfew on 22nd March from 7 am to 9 pm."
