Why Linkedin Posts

When I write my stories on Linkedin, it does 2 things.

1) It mentors someone 5 years behind me and

2) It impresses someone 5 years ahead of me.

When you share real stories from your finance career about mistakes, decisions, tough boardroom moments, stakeholder pushback, team leadership, you give practical wisdom to someone who’s trying to get where you are.

- They see themselves in your journey.

- They feel less alone.

- They learn what no course or MBA will teach.

On the other side

When a CFO, CEO, or board member sees you write clearly, reflect deeply, and explain complexity with simplicity, they don’t just see a finance professional.

They see:

- Strategic thinking

- Executive presence

- Leadership maturity

- Someone who can handle more

You’re no longer just a name on a resume or a performer in a quarterly review.

You’re someone they remember.

And that memory often becomes opportunity.

It’s how you build reputation both ways, without chasing anyone.

Scared?

What if I add 2 extra zeros to my excel file and it messes the P&L. What if I drive and I run over someone. Will I be ever able to take a decision if all I am thinking about is ‘what if’. Start carefully and and don’t polarise until you are ready.
