30 Day Challenge - To a better You

To commensurate the Mental Health Day and Month we had the 30 day challenge - Amazing it was. Thanks a ton to Aarathy for all her efforts in putting it together.

Everyone need time to reflect. A day or a moment when we stop to think about where we are in life, if we are where we thought we would be on our grand plan of our journey in life. 

Wellness is not a destination, but a life long journey to improve your mental, physical and social wellbeing. 



Here is a recap of the 30 days:

  1. Get out for a walk - Walk, Think, Do. 
  2. Practice one random act of kindness - Spend 10% of your time, earnings and energy on Charity. Charity begin at home.
  3. Wake up30 minutes earlier today - Early to bed, and early to rise make a person, healthy, wealthy and wise. 
  4. Listen to a podcast or an audio book - The Strangest Secret by Earl Nightingale. 
  5. Stop a Breathe! - Let go, Remind yourself that this very moment is the only one you know you have for sure. 
  6. Practice saying No - Integrity is the ability to say 'No' when you see wrong, not getting tempted when you see wrong. 
  7. Switch up your evening routine - Skywatch, every moment in our life is planned. It will sap stress by putting emotions in perspective. 
  8. Schedule in a day of self care - Self care is not self indulgence, it is self preservation. 
  9. Organize one spot in your home - It is a magic that create a vibrant and happy life. 
  10. Plan a schedule for your week - One who fails to plan, plans to fail. 
  11. Take a trip down memory lane - Memory is the dairy, we all carry about with us. 
  12. Detox Wednesday - Make your own infused drink - Chukku Kapi, No coffee, dry ginger, pepper, tulsi leaves, jaggery.  
  13. Stop the negative self talk for an entire day - S_O_S: Stop the thought, interrupt the cycle; Observe what you are saying and how it makes you feel; Shift your cognitive, emotional or behavioral response by using positive coping skills and techniques. 
  14. Make plans with a friend - Making connections with like minded friends, sharing similar wavelength, make a huge difference, in mental and physical health. 
  15. Take a Hobby - There is life out of profession.
  16. Visit a new park and take a walk - Cities have parks, Villages have Paddy field.
  17. Ask for help with something you have been struggling with - Ask and it shall be given to you, The biggest problem is trying to do all by self. It is reliving. 
  18. TABOO session - Understand the Taboo words, and use them well. 
  19. Gratitude Day - Say Thank You
  20. Get Outside
  21. Zentangle session
  22. Unplug social media for two hours
  23. Read a book
  24. Plan your next vacation

  26. Organise your digital files today
  27. Practice to be a mindful listener - Detach distractions, curb your reactions, focus on sensation, use self-talk, connect to intentions. 
  28. Get 8 hours of good sleep - Envy Indra Nooyi as 5 hours of sleep is all that she needs. 
  29. Manage your finance - TWCGO  - Tax, Wealth, Charity, General, Operations. 
  30. Write 5 affirmations about yourself today. -  I am lovable just the way I am, I always have been, I always will be. I am significant. I matter. I am worthy. I am enough. I am amazing. I am incredible. 
Be the reflection of real you, same inside, same outside.
